Gestational Diabetes & Birth Options

I would really like to go for a natural birth with least intervention (just gas and air - maybe a pool) in the Midwife Led Unit as my ideal preference however the nurse said today it is their trust policy or whatever that I be consultant led and gave me information about inductions saying they will start discussing this with me at 35 weeks to plan. I've only just been given my monitor to check sugar levels and I'm not silly obviously if my diabetes is uncontrolled and increases lots of risk factors I'm happy to consider these options but I can't see why I can't have a hands off birth if it's all under control and well managed. The nurse said I need to be in the consultant led unit so they can check babies sugar level when it's born and that's why I need to be there. Surely they can transfer me up and do a quick prick test on baby? Then she went on to talking about the golden hour to encourage breastfeeding after birth which kind of counteracts the whole taking baby to do a sugar level test when they are born 🤔. Anyway my question is does anyone have any positive low intervention stories of birth in MLU with well controlled gestational diabetes? Did you have to fight for it to be that way? I'd be giving birth at Princess Royal.

No reassurance from my care team

Hi gals, I’m 34 weeks today and a ftm feeling like I have no reassurance from my care team at all… I went to see my midwife today and mind you the last bit of reassurance I had was at 19 weeks with an anatomy scan, my midwife had informed me more than once I won’t be sent for another scan unless I pay for a private one on my own

At 31 weeks my fundal height was measuring 32cm today I’m measuring 33cm that’s 1 cm difference between 3 weeks this would mean he’s now measuring under… why am I the only one concerned about this? I don’t know if he’s big or small anything haven’t seen him on ultrasound for weeks I’ve had no reassurance that’s he’s growing okay and that my body is doing the right thing for him I was also informed I’m high risk for pre eclampsia I’m on a low dose of aspirin until 36 weeks every appointment they don’t test my urine for protein to check and I go into labour n delivery with concerns and symptoms of pre eclampsia they shut me down tell me it’s acid reflux and send me home every time… has anyone’s antenatal care experience been similar?? I feel so not reassured and under cared for? I’m worried about little man’s growth.

Sex!

Me and my husband are TTC. Sometimes after sex i have noticable drippage but other times, nothing noticeable at all but he says he finished inside. Usually aswell i notice more on the first fay of sex then little to none as it goes on if we had sex multiple days in a row. Im worrying , does that mean he didnt finish ? He says he did. I was wanting to ask, do you ladies always feel drippage? Or sometimes not? Im getting stressed out about it and a little disheartened x thanks so much

Wanting my tubes tied during C-section

I just wanted to hear others experience with this and the whole process really, I am in my first trimester but I know I don't want anymore children and I'm 27 (I'll be almost 28 when my youngest will be born).
