Left over nappies
What do people do with leftover nappies when their babies go up a size, I have lots of size 1,2 and 3 from when my baby sizes up and im not sure what to do with them , binning seems wrong , charity and food and living banks only take them when it’s a sealed brand new pack , what do you do with your leftovers
Napping in seperate room
My baby is 15 weeks old and goes to bed at 7.00pm, he wakes for a feed at 5.00am and then goes back down until 8.00am. We used to keep him downstairs in a moses basket in the evenings until we both went up to bed and would transfer him to his next to me cot. However, he now struggles to sleep in the living room even with dim lighting and talking quietly etc, so we have started putting him down in his next to me cot upstairs in our bedroom at 7.00pm and he is much more settled.
I know that NHS guidance is for baby to sleep in the same room as you anytime of the day or night until 6 months old, however 7.00pm is too early for us to go up to bed and we often haven’t had chance to eat or do chores by that time.
How are other parents managing to eat dinner, do chores and spend any time together as adults?
Episiotomy fear
If you’ve had tearing or an episiotomy please be real with me here, I’m a ftm absolutely terrified about tearing. Logically, I’d rather have the episiotomy than it tearing on its own so it can heal better, but the thought of them having to cut down there makes me want to cry and scream and crawl out of my skin😖
Did you feel the tear or cut when it happened? Was it painful or just like “oh shit yikes”? How much pain did you still feel during recovery?
I’m filling out the birth preference form my hospital gave me, but it doesn’t have anything on here about this. I’m thinking of writing that I give them permission to make the cut if they think it’s necessary, but if possible I don’t want to know about it until after the birth is over. Is that a reasonable request?
This is causing me so much anxiety, more than contractions or labor pain itself for some reason😅
