I hate my life

I thought my first kid was hard but this one is horrendous. He complains or whines majority of the time. His sleep is ridiculous, even his naps are a joke. I am burnt out and miserable. I genuinely hate being a mum. Why I've done it twice I have no idea. I'm about ready to ram my head into a wall

Are you able to get childcare?

Avatar

This sounds really bad momma, i think we all get it but you need to find help, post on your local mom group lots of moms are willing to help for free, churches too they will come to your house, let them know you need this for your mental health, you will get help you deserve so you can catch a break šŸ’•

Hang in there! I have had days like that. Sounds like you could do with a break. Do you go to many classes at the childrens centres? Might be good to network and you never know what connections you might make. Try to get a doc appointment for your mental health too. Sounds like you could have PPD

Sounds like you have to find things to do, get him playing more so when bed time comes he is tired and ready to sleep

I hope you can find a moment of peace today and that all the things that seem so big and horrible start to fade away.

That those screeches and slaps from your little ones turn into squeals of joy and excitement and loving soft playful tickle fingers. That when you and your beautiful little ones look at each other you see and feel so so so much love!

I’ve had moments where everything seemed so awful and I just wanted to rage out. Best thing to do in those moments is take care of and love yourself. However you can.

If you can look into moringa powder make sure it’s safe for you to try. Also eating more anti inflammatory and cortisol lowering foods. Definitely move your body, journal, meditate, get outside, take yourself and the littles out, invite someone over. I would also consider making an appointment to talk to a therapist/ doctor again maybe there is a shift happening that’s thrown you off balance. If the ones you are currently seeing haven’t been helpful find better. šŸ¤šŸ¤šŸ¤šŸ¤šŸ¤šŸ¤šŸ¤

Do you have enough to get a gym membership? Most gyms have childcare inside and at least you can get an hour maybe 1 1/2 hours to yourself? You don’t even have to work out. my gym has a massage chairs, smoothie bar, movie room. It’s a nice escape

Taking a newborn out

What age/ weeks is it okay to take a newborn out of the house?
Christmas is my favorite time of the year and my baby will be born 2 weeks before Christmas. It’s my family in Milton Keynes turn to host Christmas this year and I live in Surrey. I badly want to attend the Christmas party as I haven’t had a proper Christmas in about 5 years.
I don’t want to risk my baby being around that many people. I also would have to take a train there as I don’t drive and I don’t know how fussy the baby will be. I know I don’t have to go but I was just wandering if anyone has any tips or advice cause I would love to have a lovely Christmas with my new born rather than be alone at home with my husband😭

Update

For those who have seen and commented on my last post about my husband and the lack of taking care of our son me and him had a very long talk about it and essentially I told him if he does it start helping or doing better I am taking our son and leaving and apparently that got through to him very clearly and I gave him one last chance I had to go to an appointment that was about an hour and a half to two hours long the place was like right down the road from my house so I walked there and walked back because I like walking but I gave that time to my husband to see if he has the chance of actually stepping up or not and he did extremely well our son was in a clean diaper and was happy and fed and later on that night I went back and watched our baby monitor and he was actually doing what I asked him to do so clearly I got through to him but Idk if I can day I fully trust him yet

Weaning early

Anyone who weaned their baby at 5 months, did you consult the health visitor first? My baby can’t take anymore milk during feeds without projectile vomiting and so we introduced banana puree and a bit of baby porridge and he’s so much happier and not vomiting so much obvs this is so much better for us as he would normally be wanting more milk but he can’t handle it and ends up projectile vomiting. I know they will try and convince me to wait so don’t really want to consult them but just wondering if anyone has started weaning and not told them? or had any issues with not telling them?

Thankssss

Urgent

We’ve gone to the children’s ER and urgent care , no answers. For most of the week my year-old has been having high fevers and really fussy and nonstop crying had on off diarrhea and doesn’t want to eat at all, and barely drinks much. She keeps pointing to her mouth, but can’t communicate what’s wrong to her teeth. Look OK from this photo?
