Are many of you actually getting your babies down at bedtime without feeding/rocking at the moment? It’s always been a bit hit and miss with my daughter (now 16 weeks) but she used to go down maybe 50% of the time on her own with just her dummy (which admittedly we had to put back in about 1000566 times). However last few weeks she’s been much harder to get down and will scream and scream until one of us rocks or feeds her to sleep. Making bedtime so hard especially as we have a toddler as well (who put herself to sleep independently pretty much from birth, making this a new experience! 🙃) Naps are still ok but she’s in the pram usually rather than her moses.
Is this the regression or something else? Will it pass on its own as she gets older??

Honestly just sounds totally normal for this age. My toddler still wants me to sit at the end of her bed while she drifts off which is an upgrade from cuddling to sleep. She was always a feed/rock to sleep. My little boy is a little easier to settle but is still at minimum a cuddle to sleep

I think it’s pretty normal for babies this young. Our little boy never goes down on his own and sometimes not ever feeding or rocking helps. He’s 17 weeks and suffers from a serious case of FOMO. 😅
thank you both that’s reassuring! I think because my first baby was a unicorn sleeper I keep feeling like I’m doing something wrong this time round, even tho I know it’s ridiculous, and that she’s just.. a baby 🙃

Do remember that every baby is different. You little unicorn might have just been a high sleep needs baby amd was happy to take herself off to sleep while you're second might need more physical affection to feel safe to head to sleep. You're not doing anything wrong. You're got this mama ❤️
