Blackout curtains or blinds?

Now the days are getting longer trying to keep my little ones room as dark and cosy as possible to keep her through the night, what do people use curtains or blinds that are blackout? And recommendations of ones that aren’t too expensive please!🩷

We've got the suction blackout blind as we can take it when we see family, friends or go away

We got black out curtains

We stick a proper black out to the window frame and then have a blind over the top too. Any cracks of light seem to cause early wake ups x

We have venetian blinds and black out curtains, they’ve been great at keeping the room blackout at bedtime even though it’s still so light outside. They’re also great at keeping the heat out/warmth in x

We got some black out blinds from dunelm for about £16, we are also putting up curtains but we want to make sure we can block out the light in the summer but have curtains to maintain heat in the winter.

I put cardboard on the window because the black out blinds still let light in around the edges. I would put curtains over them but I’m in a rental and the windows are massive.

This year I invested in a roller blackout blind from Swift Direct blinds. It was cheap and soooo much better than having the suction stick on black out blind which was such a faff if you are sort of person who wants to open your blinds/windows every day.

We have very wide windows, so we had to improvise a bit. We have blackout roller blind and black out curtains over that both from dunelm.

We use both

We got this and it’s been much more effective than the Tommee Tippee ones as we can get it much closer to the window!

my son has black out blinds but the gap around them still lets in a lot of light so we’re now adding black out curtains but keeping the blinds aswell x

8 week jabs 🙈

When should I give my little one Calpol before or after?

The doctors have told me to give it to him before and other people have told me to give it to him straight after as it could hide some of the symptoms.

Suncream

What suncream is everyone using for their 1 year olds? One that doesn't stain clothes preferably! UK based

Do your boobs ever feel sexy again?

I breastfeed and so obviously my baby is always touching, feeling, massaging, drinking, licking all over my boobs.

My partner then goes to touch them either looking for sexy time or during sexy time and I feel like he's doing a milk massage... It just feels bleghhhh

Does this ever go back to normal?

Silly question...

We are having a day out in London next weekend with our 6 month old...

What do we do regarding bottles? We use a rapidcool to make bottles on the go using the hot shot method. But we only have a flask that holds enough for 2 bottles of hot water.

Do we get a massive flask to take with us (will it keep hot enough?) Or is it normal to ask coffee shops/ restaurants for boiling water?
