What methods of birth control are we using?

Hi mamas! I’m new here, and this is my first post. If you’re done having kids or trying to prevent pregnancy for the next couple of years, what birth control method are you using and do you recommend it? I’ve never used any, but I have 2 kids under 2 now and would really rather not get pregnant again soon. lol. Please share what’s worked for you now/ in the past. Thank you!

saheli/ormeloxifene — not sold in usa. i’ve been using it off/on since 2011. consistently since my last kid in 2022. zero issues + no scares + it’s nonhormonal.

us doesn’t want us healthy & well 🫶🏽

I'm on the mirena (IUD) and love it. I can't take normal bc because nuvaring gave me blood clots.

I used to use the implant it worked for me especially because it’s not something I have to take everyday and I had to book an appointment to get it out and not just stop on a whim

Hormone patches or condoms are the safest options ♥️

Getting my fallopian tubes removed soon!! So excited to not have to worry about it anymore

I have a Mirena IUD and absolutely love it.

Natural. I’m tracking, taking temp and using condoms on my fertile period. My body hasn’t seen semen for last 6yrs, my youngest is 6. I don’t want anything hormonal and this works for us with sex 2-3* a week. If you don’t like condoms then look at something else but for peace of mind I tolerate them I don’t like them either. I do NOT want another pregnancy right now it’ll disrupt all the prepaid concerts and fitness classes I have lol

the nexplanon implant! i love it!

I’m on paragaurd IUD and I absolutely love it. It is hormone free.

Depo shot

Condoms. I have chronic migraines so I can’t take hormonal BC. Nonhormonal BC isn’t as effective and I don’t want to get the cooper implant. Depo makes you gain weight so yeah, condoms it is. They have never failed us.

Copper iud. So far so good. I tried condoms the shit broke on the day I ovulated and is the reason i opted for the CIUD. Lol

Evra patches. Been using them for years. When we decided to have a baby I simply stopped using them and got pregnant within a month (commenting this in case you're worried about how long you'd have to wait to get pregnant again after you stop using them)

Feeling like a mum

Hi! I’m a first time mum, my little boy is 8 weeks and he’s brilliant. He was planned and wanted from the get go. I love him so much and we’re building a great relationship but I feel like we are best friends as opposed to me being a mum to him. I don’t know if I’m partially struggling with a change in identity. I’m 35, always worked a demanding job, managed to do most of the things I’d wanted to do in life by this point, I’ve been very lucky.. I’ve always known who I am, I’ve never struggled with my identity before. now life is slower, more simplistic and I find myself trying to figure out who I am now. Sorry to go in to detail but I just wondered if anyone else has had similar feelings? Hoping I’m not the only one in this boat x

Low iron stores & pregnancy

Hi mamas! I would love to have another baby soon (next 1-2 months hopefully!), so had my bloodwork done and my ferritin came back extremely low. Hoping to build that up with therapeutic iron supplements, but apparently it can take a LONG TIME. I’m curious what your experiences have been and if it would affect only be or baby as well?

Going back to work 4 or 3 days?

I know this will have a lot of various factors to influence it but in general, can anyone give me advice/their perspective on this?

My sister who was a SAHM is very much saying how time together us more important than money. But my thinking is:

1) do I want to be stressed during their childhood over paying the bills and mortgage
2) do I want to sacrifice being able to do bigger things/outings on the days I actually have off
3) do I want to risk my work not letting me up my days again once little one is at school

On the other hand, 3 days at my workplace may be more likely to be accepted as a job share than 4 so this may not even be a case of having an option..

Just really torn on what to ask for on my flexible work request and its fast approaching!

My partner and I have had similar incomes so we have always split bills equally too (joint account for bills and seperate account for everything else) so I'm also worried about how my income drastically changing will affect this dynamic and how to make it fair

How often are you and your partner intimate?

We haven’t had sex since I’ve become pregnant. So about a year and a half now.

Looking for long distance friends !!

hii 🥹💕 I’m looking for a long-distance friend I can genuinely connect with! Someone to talk to throughout the day, send random updates to, vent to, and share the little things in life with. I’m a SAHM to my almost 8-month-old son, and I love gaming 🎮 I’d love to meet someone I can get close to, even if we live far away.🫶🏻🕺
