Hi mamas! I’m new here, and this is my first post. If you’re done having kids or trying to prevent pregnancy for the next couple of years, what birth control method are you using and do you recommend it? I’ve never used any, but I have 2 kids under 2 now and would really rather not get pregnant again soon. lol. Please share what’s worked for you now/ in the past. Thank you!

saheli/ormeloxifene — not sold in usa. i’ve been using it off/on since 2011. consistently since my last kid in 2022. zero issues + no scares + it’s nonhormonal.
us doesn’t want us healthy & well 🫶🏽

I'm on the mirena (IUD) and love it. I can't take normal bc because nuvaring gave me blood clots.

I used to use the implant it worked for me especially because it’s not something I have to take everyday and I had to book an appointment to get it out and not just stop on a whim

Hormone patches or condoms are the safest options ♥️

Getting my fallopian tubes removed soon!! So excited to not have to worry about it anymore

I have a Mirena IUD and absolutely love it.

Natural. I’m tracking, taking temp and using condoms on my fertile period. My body hasn’t seen semen for last 6yrs, my youngest is 6. I don’t want anything hormonal and this works for us with sex 2-3* a week. If you don’t like condoms then look at something else but for peace of mind I tolerate them I don’t like them either. I do NOT want another pregnancy right now it’ll disrupt all the prepaid concerts and fitness classes I have lol

the nexplanon implant! i love it!

I’m on paragaurd IUD and I absolutely love it. It is hormone free.

The bc patch

Tubes tied.

Depo shot

Condoms. I have chronic migraines so I can’t take hormonal BC. Nonhormonal BC isn’t as effective and I don’t want to get the cooper implant. Depo makes you gain weight so yeah, condoms it is. They have never failed us.

Copper iud. So far so good. I tried condoms the shit broke on the day I ovulated and is the reason i opted for the CIUD. Lol

Evra patches. Been using them for years. When we decided to have a baby I simply stopped using them and got pregnant within a month (commenting this in case you're worried about how long you'd have to wait to get pregnant again after you stop using them)
