36 weeks tomorrow and I’m really going through it with all this pain, I shuffle when I walk as it’s just too painful to actually lift my feet, I’m taking paracetamol almost everyday to help it. Only time it’s not so severe is when I sit but when I move to lie on my sides or even get up I am very much gasping for air and moaning with pain.
I don’t see the point in going to a physiotherapist as it’ll take so long for them to see me and I’ve literally only got 4 weeks to go, plus for me I reckon it won’t help just being told different exercises to do which I’ve researched and tried and unfortunately nope, don’t work.
I’m at that stage where I may have to request my midwife to possibly consider me for an induction as I am really beginning to get upset about it struggling with daily life and needing my partner to help me get up/go to the toilet/lower me into the bath - get me out/ etc.
Anyone ever experienced this before in a previous pregnancy and have had to get induced because of it? Or are currently pregnant and maybe this is happening to you?

Oh babe, I’ve had this too since just after 36 weeks! My pelvic gurdle pain is awful and is only on my left side.
I’m not sure if they’ll induce you early as they haven’t offered that to me and I’ll be 38 weeks next week. But it’s worth asking your midwife at your next appt or calling your maternity triage.
Xx

This is me currently - same with my last pregnancy. Utter agony all the time. They wouldn’t induce me because it wasn’t ’dangerous’ to myself or the baby. Definitely speak to your midwife about more effective pain relief.
I’ve been seeing a physio, have pelvis support belts and crutches and stronger pain relief- only when needed xxx

I had this for about 4 weeks!! Luckily the last two days have been a bit easier. What helped was shuffling when walking, making sure my knees were always close together moving in bed or getting out the car (basically keep your legs together as much as possible for your pelvis joints). A belly band sort of helped me restrict movement - I did some exercises they were very difficult so mainly did the pelvic movements on a birthing ball. Make sure when you sleep it's on your good side and put a pillow between your knees and your feet so your side is even and doesn't dip. Make sure you keep movement to a minimum but don't sit for two long. I thought a memory foam cushion off Amazon and that's really helped me sit comfortably (just googled what was best for PGP and got one of those) x
