I genuinely don't know how much longer I can do this. Babies sleep has never been great but since 4 months it's been horrendous. Stirs constantly at night and won't self settle and wakes up anywhere from 3-6am and won't go back to sleep for hours. It's currently 5.20am and been awake for over an hour. I've tried longer naps, shorter naps, earlier bedtime, later bedtime. None of it has changed anything. During the day will not be entertained for more than 5 minutes before the complaining and whinging starts. Get some pockets of enjoyment but for the most part I am completely miserable and majorly regret having this baby

Sorry you are feeling like this. I had moment with the same thoughts on and off up until around 6 months for various reasons so you are not alone.
Do you have a schedule/ routine during the day? I find having one really helped my babies. We have just stated to increase the last two bottles before bed to help her stretch all night without milk/ waking. DM’s are open if you just want to vent xxx

Sorry you are going through this, please don’t regret having the baby 😢. I know it’s so hard at the moment but they didn’t choose to be born. I’m also going through a rough period, although she’s never been a great sleeper but it just seems to be getting worse and day time naps are abysmal.
Have you tried the huckleberry app to follow wake windows? I’m trying to follow wake windows, cant say it’s 100% working but helps to know when I need to start trying for a nap.

So sorry you are going through this. Sleep deprivation is utterly horrendous! Highly recommend Ruth The Health Visitor on TikTok/Instagram. She also has a downloadable pack of about 8 pages all about sleep for £5 it’s brilliant!
As others mentioned. Huckleberry is great and also having a routine! Over the last month I’ve started waking my daughter in the morning and giving her bottle around the same time everyday and it’s given me consistency and a fairly predictable day.
I hope you find something that helps. It will not be like this forever ♥️
My LG (2.5) has always been a great sleeper. She still naps during the day, usually for anywhere between 1.5–3 hours, but lately she’s been fighting her naps and they’re getting later and later. But when shes gone, shes sparko!
We’ve had a few days recently where she hasn’t napped at all, and if she’s kept busy, she gets delirious by the end of the day before sleeping from 7pm–6am.
However, if we’re having a quieter day at home or I can’t get out, she might finally nap from 1–3pm. I try not to let her nap that late because it pushes bedtime back to around 10pm, but I also don’t want to keep her awake when she’s clearly exhausted, whinging and in need of sleep.
Does anyone have any tips for gently waking a toddler from a nap so they don’t sleep for so long? Or is it time to drop naps altogether? Alternatively, how can I get her back into the routine of napping from 12–2pm like she used to?
I know she obviously still needs the sleep, but our days are now starting at 5am, and I’m struggling to work out what’s best for her. I'm also aware the clocks go back soon which will fuck me even more. Shes up from 5/6am. She has so much energy and we play from the moment she opens her eyes till bedtime.
For context, I also have a 6-month-old who sleeps amazingly from 8pm–7am. This then means I sort my toddler out and have to wait upstairs until my baby wakes up as transporting her downstairs will wake her unnaturally.

Moms that travel; I’m taking my 1 y/o (21months ) on her first trip tomorrow . I’m dreading taking her car seat . What do you normally do if you don’t travel w/ your car seat ? Can you request a driver with one on ride share apps ?

She’s too pushy and I’ve said no endless times. It’ll be very stressful for him. I don’t pump because I don’t like it and my baby doesn’t like bottles. I’m currently trying to break nurse-sleep association. It doesn’t make any sense to attempt a sleepover because it’ll be just stressful for baby and I. I just can’t be asked to keep saying NO. It’s almost harassment. I said it’ll eventually happen once I’m back to work, not while I’m in mat leave as I don’t want to be away from my son yet. How can I approach this in a friendly way? She’s just too much sometimes and I’ve been very friendly and open about the idea, but not about the timing.

What’s everyone getting for their newborn to sleep in, I’m torn whether to get a love to dream swaddle.. are they good?

I am breastfeeding my baby and do pumped milk/ formula whenever it is absolutely required. Baby is 6.5 months old but she wakes up 5-6 times during night. Many of my friends said they will wake up less frequently once they're past 6 months. I have started solids as well in the morning.
Is it because of breastfeeding?
Should I just give formula before bed?

1) how much sleep are you averaging at the moment? (I’m 3 weeks PP currently and baby is feeding every 3 hours, so getting 3 hours max of uninterrupted sleep)
2) are your babies really noisy and wriggly after night feeds but absolutely fine in the day?! If so, any tips please 🙏
3) following on from above really, how long does each feed take? Mine is up from about 1.5 hours from each feed so it’s sooo exhausting as she just won’t settled afterwards and is really wriggly/nosiy
Just wondering if I’m doing something wrong as I’m so tired and if the feeds were a bit quicker at night/could get her back down quicker it’d be so much better then I could actually sleep!
Thanks so much 🥰
