My LO is nearly 6 months and I have fed her some purée pouches but want to give her actual food, blended banana which she loved. I want her to be able to hold the food as she is super active with her hands, but not sure what I can give her? Shes two weeks off being 6 months.

Have a look at solidstarts and 101before1 lots of advice on weaning and how to prepare and serve finger foods safely

Second solid starts, even just their Instagram will help as they share diagrams etc about serving size. The real answer though is anything (just no excess salt, sugar, or honey). There’s a good BLW group on here too x

If you have a good processor, you can purée absolutely anything and everything. My doctors advice was to give LO everything we ate. After a few weeks of puréed food I started with fruit and veggies, cooked really well and chopped super fine. He would grab it and put it into his mouth. Gnaw it off his hand kinda 😅 I was scared to give him things he could take bite of out of fear of choking but he did really well with soft fruits, slices of pear and banana, avocado, cooked veggies, sliced boiled egg. I've seen parents do like chicken legs and meat on bone too!
