Infected c-section scar

Does anyone have any tips on an infected scar? I’m 2 weeks pp, still in a lot of pain with my cut, it’s now infected. I’ve seen the DR who’s prescribed me antibiotics but just for some sanity has anybody been through the same and has any tips for a speedy recovery?

Hope you’re ok and not too sore with it. Try and dry it with a cool hair dryer after showering and if it gets sweaty. Even just laying and airing it. I also cleaned it with salt water and used baby wash around the area so it was gentle. I was prescribed an antibacterial cream for mine when it got infected

Mine went quickly with the antibiotics. I also put a sanitary pad horizontal across my underwear where the scar is to keep everything dry

First birthday

I posted about this earlier, but now I have another thought. If I were to do my babies first birthday party, it’s gonna be in December and it is cold and could snow, we have already gotten permission to do it at our church so there wasn’t be any activities for the other people kids. As a parent are we worried about that or no? We have an extremely small budget to use for decor and food, what did yall do for food?

Signs labour is near

36 weeks and have been so overly emotional for no reason! Can't stop crying over nothing. Is this a sign labour is coming sooner?

Did your newborn get prescribed antibiotics?

My 4 day old newborn may have an umbilical cord infection and will need antibiotics for 7 days. I’m feeling so bad as I’m sure this isn’t great for their small immune system- has anyone else had to do this and had any long term effects on their babies? Panicking a little

Natural birth or C Section

Hi ladies,

So for the past 8 months I have been told that there was no way on God’s green earth that I would have a natural birth:
Every scan/ obstetrician’s appointment was the same.
Constantly being told it is a miracle I conceived naturally due to the amount & sizes of uterine fibroids I have.
Most times the radiologist gives up counting and the last scan at 34 weeks I was told they counted 9 sizeable fibroids and they wouldn’t bother counting/measuring the rest as we had run out of time. I was told all 9 measured between 7- 10cm (size of a small melon).

Also my babies head was now facing downwards as would be expected in preparation for birth. However there was a large fibroid right underneath his head by the entrance of my cervix. (I have always been aware of this fibroid in my cervix) it was the main reason I was told that I wouldn’t be able to have a natural birth due to high risk of haemorrhaging.

With all this, I had made peace with the fact that I would be having a planned C section from day 1. Hospital bags are packed etc. I am currently 37+2.

Fast forward today, I went in for a final scan (having more scans than usual due to the high risk nature of other pregnancy).
Miraculously I was told the babies head has now gone past the cervix fibroid and there is actually enough distance between the fibroid and my baby (up to 4cm) and so if I wanted I could have a natural birth. Without saying too much, it felt like the registrar was nudging me towards a natural vaginal birth now that I have the option.

This has thrown me completely and I genuinely don’t know what decision to take.
I have been told I need to make a decision by next week, when the CS scheduling team call me.

Vaginal birth obviously means that I get left alone to go into natural labour at full term etc, but a C section would be at 39 weeks. Less than 2 weeks away.

Please help a girl out.
What would you do if it were you?
Any advice welcome.
