maybe a stupid question but if i had an induction with my first will they offer me the choice with my second or is it the same thing only if necessary ?

Yes you should still have a choice depending on the pregnancy, gestation, and risk level 😊 i.e. If it's a higher risk pregnancy they may heavily recommend induction by a certain stage but ultimately you should still have the choice even if you are/were induced for your first and likewise you can still request an induction if you want it for the second.
And not a stupid question at all 😉
It's always worth talking through with your midwife and you can also state preferences within your birth plan x

I am glad that was helpful! Amazing, I hope it goes well with the midwife on Friday and best of luck for the birth of your second! Congratulations 😊 x

Sorry to jump in with a slight change in topic, but can you tell me about your induction experience? I dont have GD but am a high risk pregnancy and in my growth scan last Tuesday, they told me that the baby was so big that they want to induce me this Friday. I am now super nervous because an induction wasn't something I had planned.

Thank you so much for sharing. My boy was measuring at 8lb3 at 36+4 😬. Did they make you stay in hospital the entire time? Or were you allowed home?
i went in on the 11th and stayed in till the 16th had her on the 15th but couldn’t leave till the 16th due to the gd , but i know there was women who came in days after me and there waters went within an hour of them being in 😅i really do wish u the best of luck !💗
i also got the pessary literally within an hour of being in , they left that in for the full 24 hours because it just wasn’t working for me it fell out on its own n they then did a sweep and gel that same day so the 12th n then they did that again the 13th and gave me some time to see if it would do anything then on the 14th i went for my waters broke and the drip she then came early morning the 15th ,because i wasn’t in labour the first 2/3 days i was allowed to leave to the cafe / park across the road so i did quite often as i also don’t like hospitals i just made sure i was back for when they would tell me they needed to check me etc , definitely recommend some ear plugs for ur nights on the ward tho just incase ! also i had a day wait from my last sweep to my waters being broke because of the wait for a room so that’s also dependant on the hospital at the time

Thank you both so much. This has been super helpful. 🫶 x
I’m 10 weeks postpartum,
We tried doing the duty (sorry don’t know how to word things in here), and right away it hurt. Like sharp sore pain.
Can this be normal after a c-section??

Just wanting to hear from mum’s who had growth scans that they then acted on eg induction/ c sections and whether babies birth weight reflected the estimated weight at scans!
Thanks 🤍

Give me all your tips and tricks please! Due October 27th and they want to induce me on the 20th so I’m starting to stress. I really wanted to go into this birth without having to be induced.

I am 13 weeks pregnant, and at 12 weeks, my doctor suggested a genetics test because of my age. It is Saturday night, and I am supposed to get the results on Tuesday. I am really worried because I feel like I am very far along to make any decisions, and I have just been stewing over this for over a week. I go to a doctor who is very popular but hard to get a hold of, and i am not sure I like her. I just am stuck waiting for weeks and not sure what to do, but wait and tough it out with this doctor.

7.5 week PP and I think I’ve gotten my period, but it’s very light, mostly just spotting with tiny bit of mini clots. I’ve been reading everywhere the opposite as everyone having super heavy flow, so now questioning if it’s normal or if it even is period..?!

Hi everyone I’m currently 26 weeks pregnant and I have a really bad aching pain at the bottom of my left side, the only way to ease it is by sitting up and leaning forward. I have tried pain killers but it’s been going on for a couple days now. Is this happening to anyone else and does anyone have any advice or suggestions please. Trying to sleep is a nightmare
