Anyone else mentally struggling with the mess of weaning?

So we're about a month into weaning, and it's going well, but the mess of it all is really triggering me!
I have diagnosed OCD and suspected Autism, and the sticky mess of food is killing me! I know the mess and food play etc is all part of the learning and experience, which makes me feel even worse for hating it. I'm reluctant to give my little boy the spoon, because I know it will just end up everywhere. Don't get me started on when he blows raspberries with food in his mouth 🙈
Is anyone else struggling with this? How are you keeping your cool? At this point, I'm debating letting him eat naked on a plastic sheet and then just bathing him after 😂 however, not really practical for every meal!

Im exactly the same! I cant cope without having a wipe on hand to immediately get things off my hands and to hold the spoon with, I’ve gotten better with her being messy but i hate the stickiness of everything

Hey so I can’t imagine how you feel obviously, but to offer some perspective, I never give my girl a spoon or put a plate next to her for that matter, I just hold a bowl of puree and spoon feed her. She eats an occasional melty stick by herself but even that I would hold most times. So there is no mess. Ever. That’s how I was raised as well and I learnt to hold a spoon and feed myself perfectly fine so if you don’t think that the whole messy play and food exploration thing fits you and only brings you anxiety then don’t do it. I feel like there is enough stress with babies and why create more

Buy a long sleeved bibado bib covers them plus the highchair tray then can wipe there hands and face whip it off and put in the wash or hand wash

My baby has been having this on his gum for weeks now and the gp said it’s nothing but I’m so worried.
Has ever come across this before? I’m soo worried. Not sure if it’s affecting his feeding.. but he eats ok.

Disobedient Husband

Hi, throughout duration of my pregnancy the husband has been rude and inconsiderate. He has forgotten my birthday and our anniversary.

I’m not sure if obedience school is an option at this age because he is 40 now and beyond the point of training age.

Any tips or helpful tricks to mediate his autonomy at this time ?

I have a 5 year old daughter and her attitude and behaviour is so bad lately is that normal

I can’t wait for my kids to get older. I have an almost 5 year old and a 3 year old. I wish they would hurry up and grow up. I feel like I’m taking care of 2 drunk guys all day long and making sure they don’t die. My oldest has horrible tantrums that he scratches me, bites me, hits me or throws and breaks things. My youngest and him fight all the time. They also need me for a lot of stuff still. I’m exhausted with them I’ve lost myself in motherhood. Even when I try to have breaks whoever is taking care of them I worry if they put something in their mouth or something else could’ve happened that the person may not say or saw. I’m tired my bf doesn’t help me and if he does at times not like I would like or throw it in my face. I don’t trust day cares and I know what I got my oldest is a lot to handle that Im worried someone doesn’t have the patience. I just want them healthy I’m also always worried if they ate enough did that sleep good, it’s a never ending worry that I hope once they get older stuff they can do on there own would help me. I’m just not enjoying this stage that they are in the always falling and fighting the bruises stress me out too. I’m loosing it I have been for a while.

Potty training

I’m due to start potty training my daughter (finally) next week! She’s 2.5 years old. And I just need some tips cause I’m so nervous about it.

I’ve got some potty training underwear for her and some potties to put on each room and an extra seat for the toilet.

My house is carpet so I’m dreading this so much.
She used to tell me when we she needed to poo but the past few days she hasn’t?
Are there any tips to help it go smoothly and quickly(hopefully) since I was have a 3 month old to deal with.

Toniebox

We're considering getting our daughter a Toniebox for christmas and just wanted to get some opinions on whether they are worth it for 2 year olds

Also if you have the toniebox 2 do you use the games features? I've seen the tonie box lite has been released which doesn't include games so I'm considering this due to the cheaper price but depends if thats a function we'll miss!
