Not saying words

Anyone else’s little ones not saying words yet?
He says dada, baba and ba or buh to anything like books and balls and any other b words.
He understands everything and can follow instructions! Just worried as some people are saying how many words their kids can say

We are the same, he understand so much!! E.g. can point to all body parts correctly, knows all the animals, knows pretty much all every day activities and objects, follows 2-part instructions, but barely says anything beyond yes/yeah and cat!

We are the exact same. She understands LOTS will point to body parts when asked, get the animal
We ask her / give it to the person we say/ she’ll get her own bowl or plate out cupboard if asked for a snack, get her shoes if I ask her. Get her brothers shoes if I ask her etc etc. but says no meaningful words. Babbles abit and makes dada and mama sounds but not a single word in context 😆

DNA Test

My baby’s dad performed a DNA test on him and my baby without my knowledge or consent. My baby wasn’t even a month old at this point. Any advice or thoughts? He’s not on the birth certificate.

How to get baby to nap without feeding?

My baby is almost 11 months old and he’s always fed to sleep even at bedtime. Now I feel like he’s starting to drop bottles, I struggle to get him to nap.

Like today, he had a filling lunch so refused his 3.30pm bottle for his nap, I resorted to having to drive around in the car to get him to sleep. I tried rocking and he just cries and tried to turn.

Any ideas on how I can start to get him to fall asleep with no bottle?

Is this normal?

Im a FTM and my 5 week old daughter is going through a stage of either not sleeping or sleeping too long, This morning she woke up at 4 and didn’t go back to sleep until 9:30, Between that time she had about 12oz of milk and slept for 8 hours, Has anyone else had this with their baby? Should I be worried and wake her up if she sleeps for that long again? Just looking for a bit of advice

How did you get your little ones to use the sofa appropriately?

My daughter is 11months and can get up on the sofa but she jumps around on it like she has 9 lives, which obviously doesn’t really mix with a kid who has no sense of danger. She doesn’t get off safely and i can’t trust her to be on it but she’s desperate to do it since shes figured it out. Shes in a climbing phase anything she can be on she is, shes relentless too

My sons 4 and i can’t remember how i did it with him it’s like he just got it randomly, he still climbed alot but always safely

How did you get your young children to be safer on the sofa or just things in general?

Cold and flu

How do people deal with colds and flu when you are breastfeeding and can't take cold and flu tablets? I had my flu jab yesterday but they said that it takes 2 weeks to work. My husband has a nasty cold and is taking cold and flu tablets, I can feel myself starting to get it but I checked with the doctor today and they said that I cant take the tablets due to breastfeeding as there is a decongestant ingredient which impacts the milk. How do people manage to care for their baby while fighting sickness and trying to avoid passing it on to them?
