Bedtime

What time is your toddler going to bed? For months we have tired to bring our toddlers earlier but she’s never ready and drops off around 8.30pm every night, yet we start winding down at 6, it feels like such a long slog each night until she’s finally asleep. She wakes up at 7am most days.

I hear people say theirs goes down at 7… howwww?!

Shes in bed about 7/7.30pm.
Sometimes falls straight to sleep others shes tossing and turning in bed for an hour before falling asleep.
We do bath 6.30 then teeth book and bed 7pm.
Or if no bath just get her changed just before 7, teeth and book then bed.
She wakes around 6/7am

Ohhh no haha 🙈🙈 we explain just one book and she decides. Then put book back big cuddle and kisses snuggle her under duvet and leave the room. Thankfully she doesnt get out of bed even if she doesnt sleep for a while

My nearly 3 year old goes down anytime between 7 and 8pm. Sometimes she’ll take ages to drop off and sometimes she’s out in 5 mins.
If she’s happy and quiet in her cot and isn’t asking for us, it doesn’t matter how long it takes her to fall asleep.

MIL keeps planning to have a sleepover with my EBF 6 month old

She’s too pushy and I’ve said no endless times. It’ll be very stressful for him. I don’t pump because I don’t like it and my baby doesn’t like bottles. I’m currently trying to break nurse-sleep association. It doesn’t make any sense to attempt a sleepover because it’ll be just stressful for baby and I. I just can’t be asked to keep saying NO. It’s almost harassment. I said it’ll eventually happen once I’m back to work, not while I’m in mat leave as I don’t want to be away from my son yet. How can I approach this in a friendly way? She’s just too much sometimes and I’ve been very friendly and open about the idea, but not about the timing.

When to stop sterilising?

My baby girl is 3 months and already so curious, grabbing things she shouldn’t, touching things that are a bit dirtier than I would like eg the floor and the rugs lol. Then she puts her hands straight in her mouth. I plan to keep sterilising her bottles etc for a while.

But curious when to stop, because at some point they are digesting bacteria anyways? Or is it still important to sterilise up until 1 year because of milk bacteria etc?

Numbness

I’m SURE it’s been asked before, but I’m over a year postpartum and still have no feeling in my scar area. I sometimes get an intense itch that can only stop with wicked hot water but that’s it. Anyone else have the same?

Sleep

My 6 week old is currently waking every hour at night. The only way to put him back to sleep is if I give him my boob again (EBF). He is not really feeding, he uses it as a dummy. I have tried a few dummies and he refuses to take any. Anyone going through this ? Any advice ?
I am not sure how long I can do this for 😓
