Does anyone else feel like parents these days are obsessed with thinking their child’s autistic? I see posts constantly of parents stressing about the smallest thing, from the age of only a few months old! I don’t understand?

Honestly, it feels like people are desperate to slap an autism label on anything that seems even slightly different. I keep seeing parents ask perfectly normal questions online, and straight away the comments jump to “that’s a sign of autism.” It’s getting ridiculous—like someone says, “my child squints a lot,” and suddenly it’s “definitely autism.” No. Maybe they just need an eye test. Not everything is a disorder. The world has gone mad!

I don’t know the rates of ASD diagnosis are scarily high. My eldest is diagnosed and I spent years ignoring the signs because I thought I was being over the top and something do need early intervention. I had everyone telling me he’d do it at his own pace, that just his way, it all gave me comfort at the time but I looking back now I could have been doing the targeted programs early re communication and speech

I know a woman who claims her girl has autism because she takes her socks off to play,
FTM to a one month old and we want to travel to visit family so they can meet the baby. The drive is only 4 hours away but online keeps saying to take breaks etc because its dangerous to have the baby in a car seat for more than 2 hours at a time. Anyone been thru something similar? And what did you do?

Hi all, my baby is almost 6 weeks and in the past few days have been a real struggle as I breastfeed him, he temporarily falls asleep on me than suddenly wake up and cries non stop. No hunger or cold/warm temp or gassiness involved I believe - I tried also putting them in any position (on me as well), but nothing really works.
Quite sleep deprived therefore - both of us.
Anyone having something similar at month 2? How did you deal with it?
Any suggestion is welcome 🫶🏻

I have lots of baby items (next to me, baby prep machine, monitor- all never used) to sell – what’s the best way to go about it? Any favourite platforms, tips for quick sales, or things I should avoid? Would love to hear your experiences!

I just needed to rant and get this out.
I’m 5 months postpartum on the 21st and I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own skin. I look in the mirror and barely recognise myself.
I’ve tried different things, I’ve changed my hair, try doing my makeup, bought new clothes and it all seems to make me feel worse.
And the weird thing is, it’s not my c section scar or my stretch marks that are actually bothering me, I can admire they gave me my beautiful son. It’s literally EVERYTHING else about myself I just hate looking at myself in the mirror!
I don’t think it helps that I feel so lonely, I don’t feel like many people understand what I went through with my labour and what I’m going through MH wise now and just think I’m being ignorant but I physically don’t have the mental capacity to message people everyday and be in constant conversation but yet I crave human interaction and friends.
Does everyone feel this way at first and when does it go away?

Just out of curiosity... how many people are putting their babies to sleep in their cribs at either bed time or during naps, then being in another room? Before 6 months? My babies bed time is between half 7 and 8 (ish) and the health visitor sayd i have to be in the bedroom at the side of her at all times... but i dont want to be in bed at 7 every night 😂
I have a monitor and a clip for her nappy that flashes when she breathes so I can see it?

Hi everyone I’m really struggling at the moment. My baby ( 4 and a half months) is just so unhappy so fussy crying all the time. I spend my whole day trying to keep her calm or trying to calm her because she’s having a complete meltdown. She is definitely currently teething which I think is causing a lot of the issues I’m trying Calpol. I’m also trying teething gel and teething toys which I’ve put in the fridge but none of them seem to have much of an effect. I just need a bit of reassurance, a bit of positive thinking any other Mum’s out there having the same experience? I feel so alone in it but I’m sure I’m not and I just keep crying because my happy baby has become so miserable. I always start the day positively but by her 8th or 9th screaming meltdown I literally can’t cope and feel like I need to tap out ! I feel so frustrated and overstimulated plus annoyed that I can’t do much to help her ….i do have some support from parents who live locally and husband in the evenings but it’s still really really hard
