Just out of curiosity... how many people are putting their babies to sleep in their cribs at either bed time or during naps, then being in another room? Before 6 months? My babies bed time is between half 7 and 8 (ish) and the health visitor sayd i have to be in the bedroom at the side of her at all times... but i dont want to be in bed at 7 every night 😂
I have a monitor and a clip for her nappy that flashes when she breathes so I can see it?

I used to go to bed when she did when she went to bed late as a newborn because I didn’t want to leave her by herself. She has been going to bed between 7-9 since she was like 2 months old and now goes to bed same as yours between 7:30-8. We’ve been putting her in bed and using the baby monitor since about 3 months old and she is now 5 months old - I am aware it is not recommended, but it worked for us and she is only in the next room over for 1 or 2 hours until we go to bed. She still sleeps in our room. It is nice to get a little bit of evening time for yourself before you go to sleep!

I honestly had no idea this was a thing, I always would put my son down to bed in his crib then have video monitor on until I got into bed, also would put him there in the daytime and go into other rooms and get jobs done..no way I'd be sat watching him sleep when I had stuff to do. I'm pregnant with my second now and will definitely be doing the same again xx

What is this nappy clip? Sounds interesting x

We do. Our LO is 4.5 months. Bedtime she goes down around 8pm and we watch on the monitor and I'll then go to bed about an hour after (but only because I EBF and don't know how long a stretch I'll get with this regression!). First nap of the day I watch on the monitor then the rest are usually contact naps. It's hard to be with them every minute of the day as you still need to have a moment to yourself!

I've always had them sleep in the same room as me for the first 6 months, as per the NHS and lullaby trust guidelines.
We used a travel cot in the living room in the evening
Hi all, my baby is almost 6 weeks and in the past few days have been a real struggle as I breastfeed him, he temporarily falls asleep on me than suddenly wake up and cries non stop. No hunger or cold/warm temp or gassiness involved I believe - I tried also putting them in any position (on me as well), but nothing really works.
Quite sleep deprived therefore - both of us.
Anyone having something similar at month 2? How did you deal with it?
Any suggestion is welcome 🫶🏻

So my recently turned 10 month old has just started throwing his head back and making his body rigid when he’s not happy about something - like being put in his play pen, being taken for a nappy change/ nap etc. I’m worried of him doing it and hitting his head hard or worse being dropped (he is very big and heavy) - there has been a few near misses already.
He has also bitten me a few times in the last month (he’s got opposing teeth so really hurts) - luckily that seems to be lessening.
Just wondering if others are/ did have similar experience with their LB? Is it normal to start tantrum type behaviour at this age? And if so how do you react to it?

I just needed to rant and get this out.
I’m 5 months postpartum on the 21st and I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own skin. I look in the mirror and barely recognise myself.
I’ve tried different things, I’ve changed my hair, try doing my makeup, bought new clothes and it all seems to make me feel worse.
And the weird thing is, it’s not my c section scar or my stretch marks that are actually bothering me, I can admire they gave me my beautiful son. It’s literally EVERYTHING else about myself I just hate looking at myself in the mirror!
I don’t think it helps that I feel so lonely, I don’t feel like many people understand what I went through with my labour and what I’m going through MH wise now and just think I’m being ignorant but I physically don’t have the mental capacity to message people everyday and be in constant conversation but yet I crave human interaction and friends.
Does everyone feel this way at first and when does it go away?

If your toddler 2 years wakes up at night and you know it’s a regression and they’re not crying just making whining noises and other sounds would you go into his/her room or just wait for them to fall asleep again even if it takes up to an hour?

Has anyone made a switch overnight rather than a gradual change? If so how did your baby react. My baby girl is 3 months and I’m planning to switch. She’s exclusively bottle fed.
