What's everyone's opinion I stopped sun beds when I found out I was pregnant I'm now 17 weeks but I have psoriasis and sun beds helped so much with my condition. I keep getting mixed opinions about using a sun bed I'm think off going back 1 / 2 times a week for 6 minuets to help with this but people keep putting me off. Has anyone had the same experiences or any advice 🫶🏼

No sunbed shops allow pregnant women onto the beds it’s in their policies, due to overheating, dizziness and reduction of folic acid, and dehydration you also will find you won’t tan as well because your skin is much more sensitive whilst pregnant so will most likely burn. Summer is just round the corner from someone who mum owns a sunbed shop, just wait for the natural sun it’s the safest option for you and baby x

I would personally ask your midwife, I know some sunbed shops do not allow pregnant women on the beds but some do but I would definitely ask your midwife and see what they recommend and see there’s another option to reduce your psoriasis x

I got told by a woman who owns a sun bed shop that it’s not actually necessarily bad for you to go on the sun bed when you’re pregnant if you’re just careful of it, so if you usually go on for 15 mins then go on for less and make sure you’re actually taking a proper break in between your sessions. Because it’s like going on holiday isn’t it.
However I know my heart rate would go high on a sun bed and I’m waiting for summer to just absolutely bake myself outside in the garden as I’m also missing the sun bed!!
I also think if they notice your bump they’ll decline you as they’ll have insurances etc that say no pregnant women and tbh as much as I love it I wouldn’t bother risking it. It’s summer soon and I think next month we’ll see the nicer weather which will hopefully help your psoriasis

When pregnant our skin’s ability to process UV light is not good, hence why we burn very fast. My obstetrician told me not to even sunbathe pregnant when I told her I was going on holiday.
My mum did in 1990 whilst pregnant with me and has permanent melasma on her face (pregnancy mask). I honestly wouldn’t bother until after pregnancy. 35 years later she still has visible discolouration on her face, neck and chest from a single week in the sun.

Definitely don’t as the hormones create more pigmentation

My mum interestingly found out she was pregnant with me because she went on a sunbed and had a horrible prickly heat reaction to it 🤣 she went to the doctors the next day for a vaccination (she was going on holiday - hence the sunbed) and she mentioned the reaction to the nurse and the nurse said “humour me, take a pregnancy test.”
But in all seriousness, I’d definitely avoid it! My skin is way more sensitive to light at the moment (I’m getting way more freckles than I normally do this time of year!)
My husband and I had sex for the first time last night since I had the baby. The baby is 4 months now, but it’s been nearly 5 or six months (we were doing it during pregnancy). A little back story, I had an emergency C-section, but I’m all healed up. We’ve been waiting for me to feel better, and because they recommended waiting like 6 months. 😭😭😭I’ve been ready for a while now, lol. I know he has too. We didn’t plan it, but last night we gave it a go and had sex.
It was AMAZING!!! 😭😭😭 I love this man so much. It was just 🎆🎇🧨🎇🎆,lol, honestly. My only issue is that just before I was ready (we usually cum together), he came first! This ruined EVERYTHING 😔😭 I was no longer in the mood, and he was feeling guilty about it all. I’m still sexually frustrated, and I don’t know how to feel.
I’m going to obviously get the morning-after pill today because we didn’t use contraception (this wasn’t planned), but should we try again today? I don’t know; I’m kind of still annoyed at him. I know it’s not his fault, and it’s been a while. We lasted a good while before I was ready to cum, but he just got there before me. 😔😔 What do I do? Am I overthinking it!

I don't understand. I've done nct course, didn't click with any of the mums, im doing swimming classes with the baby for 4 months, im doing baby activity classes for the past 2 months.... LO is 8 months old. Like today, 3 new mums, plus me, all had a great chat, class was over and I went on to help to clean up just to return and see the girls exchange phone numbers but none of them asked mine. I smiled and said goodbyes but I was left with this very bitter feelings. All these activities I am the only foreign mum. Everyone else is british. My english is very good. I'm polite. Kind. Happy person. I just don't understand. Have you ever come across situation like this?

I’m just gonna jump straight to the point lol. I want to find friends I can makeout with. Girl friends. I’m in a loveless marriage I don’t want to get a divorce but I’m literally dying inside without someone to pour my cuddling and kissing needs into. I guess I just want to know if there’s any other moms out there that have successfully found a deep friendship with another woman that they were able to bring to the next level without actually having sex.

Anyone got a male partner with low sex drive? Feels very rare and lonely to navigate as men usually are these horny rabbits.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience or advise with this?
I am currently pregnant and our relationship has been on the rocks but the sex life has been poor for a few years.

Honestly feeling so alone in this season of motherhood. I don’t have a friend close enough where I can just call to have company, or to talk to about things I’m currently going through and honestly it feels really lonely. All my friends are childless travelling the world, partying etc and I’m currently pregnant with my third. I find it hard to connect with other mums tbh and I don’t know why.
