You might not see anything other than gestational sac and yolk sac but try not to worry, that’s why I booked mine to make sure it’s not on my scar xx

I had an early scan and didn’t have a yolk sac or fetal pole just the gestation sack, I was measuring 5 weeks 2 days so got to go back Tuesday when I’ll be 6+6 x

Self referral - Badger Notes

I recently found out I’m expecting my second so did a self referral in order to have a midwife and sort out the booking appointment. I made the referral on the 3rd April so taking out the days for Easter, it has now been 8 working days since making it.

How quickly or slowly did you guys get the first contact from the midwife team?

This is completely different from when I had my first as I just phoned up and got a call back from them within 24 hours.

Having to go incognito as no one knows I’m pregnant yet.

How are you getting scans so early?

I’m 6 weeks pregnant today and don’t have my first NHS booking appointment until 8 weeks, with the first scan scheduled for 11 weeks.

I love reading posts in this group, but I’ve noticed some mums are getting scans from as early as 7 weeks (sometimes even earlier!).

It would be really helpful to have more information about these early scans (if you are comfortable sharing!) to help those of us who feel anxious and would like reassurance before the NHS-recommended timings.

Positive elective stories please 🙏

My elective c section is booked for tomorrow at 41 weeks following an extremely traumatic birth with my son 3 and a half years ago that ended in an emergency c section. I've had a lot of therapy to deal with this and decided to try for a vbac this time, but to book an elective in case she goes overdue.

However, now I'm here I'm freaking out. I sat down to read all the info they've sent me last night and it's triggered something because I've gone into full on fight or flight mode, everything in my body is screaming at me to run. I can't even think about it without crying, I've cried all night and woken up crying this morning.

Please send me your positive elective c section stories, I need to fill my brain with positivity right now and try to get into a good headspace for tomorrow 😥

PGP & vaginal birth

I have had really bad pelvic girdle pain and sacroiliac joint dysfunction since I've been 4 months pregnant. I am now on constant painkillers and can only walk with crutches. Does anyone have experience with something like this and had a vaginal birth? I did not experience anything like this with my first baby, and now I am so worried about not being able to move as I need to during birth. So I am considering an elective csection, even though the consultant did not recommend it, given I already had a vaginal birth before. Any experience sharing would be v much appreciated 🙏 (and don't hesitate to message me privately). Thanks!

Anyone awake

I’m 6 days postpartum and really struggling. My hormones seem to be all over the place and I cry at the drop of a hat. I absolutely love my baby but trying to be a full time new mom while recovering from a c section is so exhausting. I am so physically tired I cry when she wakes up. Anyone else in the first few days trenches ?
