Im thinking of leaving my babies dad but my mum says Im throwing a tantrum

I wanted to leave.
We argue all the time, but after he called me a peasant because he earns double then I do, Iv had it in my head I want to leave.
A bit of back ground. My son is 18months old and we all moved in our first home, and first time living together when he was 4 month old. We have been together 8 years but since the new born bubble popped and we got back to normality we have do nothing but argue. We share the house work but I do more of the parenting because he works 12 hour shifts days and nights but he does help on the weekend unless he is watching football and drink.
He tells me all the time he has nothing for himself and he lives a miserable life but I have nothing for myself my life consist of my son and working full time.
I spoke to my mum after we had a massive argument and I walked out the family home with my son but she just told me I was being silly and having a tantrums and sent me back to my home.
Now I’m doubting myself and struggling with the fact I will be breaking my family up just because I’m not happy!
Do you ladies have any advise for me ?

I think you feelings are completely valid, as for advice I don’t really have any, but it’s okay to feel the way you do, don’t let your mum make you think your doing something wrong

The fact your mum sent you back home breaks my heart. She should be a shoulder for you to cry on, not push you away. It sounds like you know what’s the right decision, you’re unhappy, and that’s only ever going to rub off on the happiness of your children. Be brave, I hope you have more people to support you Xx

Is there a possibility it’s tiredness and this will get better

I left at 6 months pregnant. 110% much happier. It really is so hard being torn between the 2. I hope you’re ok 💗

Maybe a good night sleep for you both OP? Maybe you're mum could have bub overnight and give you both a break. It will show you how you are, with a bit better sleep if she or a friend can help. Or you go to a hotel for a night and then he does and you regroup both better rested.

Do you think your mum doesn't want you leaving because it's more about her? Like she's worried you want to move in with the baby and it's more selfishly motivated?

I'm sorry, do you have some one else you can support you in this time?

I will say that the first year is brutal, and maybe it's salvageable if there's good stuff there under the sleep deprivation.
But calling you a peasant because of wage despairity is nasty. The competitive woe is my, I've got it worse, needs to stop he needs to be kinder to you when you feel rubbish and vice versa. (I'm not saying your not). I think you both need a break and to really talk.

That all being my relationship broken down just after one, and I'm almost 8 years on, and so much happier.

I think taking a break away from baby will help.
I also do think i could be more witty with things he says.

Oooh you can! Sometimes making people thing about what they say by your response and take the emotions out if it at the same time OP
Humour is my go-to.

Iv got from this that maybe I need my spark back.
I feel like I’m taking him way too seriously and causing arguments because I’m struggling with my new life and identity.
this wasn’t what I thought I would find here .
This is why we always need other mums in our corner. thankyou ladies

Advice on only/multiple kids

I just had my first baby at the beginning of September. I’m turning 34 next week and have been struggling with whether we should have more children. We tried for a few years for our daughter so it wasn’t easy. And I’m not a dinosaur or anything, but I definitely feel that way when I think about having another baby in the next couple years 👵

At the same time, my step son who we have part time is 10years old so my little girl would be an only child. I had my little sister growing up and now we are so close. I know the beauty of having a sibling to grow with. I worry about her being lonely 🥺 Especially since I don’t have family or friends with kids close to her age or with children at all.

Any advice/wisdom?

Best friend?

Hey yall so I'm looking for that one friend I can call when I'm bored and we chat about anything and everything, someone open to all conversations and isn't afraid of communication, if something I say (I'm unfiltered) rubs you the wrong way, let me know, I'll fix it. I feel as if I'm pretty funny and I find a lot of inappropriate things hilarious. I'm gross lmfao we all pee we all poop and we all fart etc. if your down to get to know me feel free to message.

Zero sex drive

Will it ever get back to normal? I’ll preface by saying my fiance is great, he’s doing as much as he can when comes home from work both with LO and with household tasks - laundry , cooking, cleaning. He’s trying to be supportive of me, telling me I am great mum, always tells me how pretty I look etc. But we are just in this roommate mode and don’t know when will that change. He sometimes tries to initiate but I’m not really interested in anything intimate. We have been not having penetrative sex since probably March as had some pregnancy complications with my placenta, just lots of hand stuff. Now I’m two months postpartum and we have done some hand stuff again but that’s it. I can tell it bothers him, but I’m just really not interested. During the day all my focus is on the baby, and in the evening when we home I just want to relax. This is obviously effecting the rest of the relationship and I feel like he’s starting to resent me. I just don’t know how to fix it? I don’t want to have sex just to fix stuff, but also know it most likely won’t repair without that part as well. When will I feel desire for intimacy again?
