The brand only makes teats for the small 70 ml bottles, so you’ll need to take a bottle with you and pour the ready-made Aptamil into it.

So apparently there are teats that fit. Firstly chillipeeps 3 in one which were discontinued then itsy guzzler took over but product no longer available I know aptimel don't sell then directly that's why I'm reaching out to see if anyone had luck elsewhere thanks for the advice though would just need so many 70ml and bottles on top of that to fit in hand luggage with bottles sterilising items finding a place in Bournemouth Airport to sterilise which only has 1 restaurant and cafe and a whsmith is proving a nightmare!

I do believe Milton do a mini on the go steriliser. Could that be an option? Or sterilising bags and asking them to put it in the microwave?

If you make any bottles up in advance you previously had to say it was breast milk and not formula (it's bloody ridiculous!!) so just in case you decide to do that xx

Avatar

Well techincally you're not but I mean I made it up and was just told to say it was breastmilk (by the security lady!!). It's so daft.

Do you have a rapid cool? You could use the hot shot method and that would mean the only thing you need to sterilise is the bottle itself

Avatar

Because then you could have a little formula dispenser with as much formula as you think you'd need and then get cafes/airline to boil you water

Although I don't know if you could take a rapid cool onboard a plane?!

Even if you didn't have that you could have a thermos for hot water

I don’t think baby milk counts towards your hand language allowance (but do check with the airports) so you could take loads of the small bottles if that’s easier. https://www.gov.uk/hand-luggage-restrictions/baby-food-and-baby-milk

Hey not sure if this is going to be helpful, the baby has a separate luggage that can go through the security check! We usually take with us 6 aptamil pre made bottles and 6 sterilized bottles and a bottle warmer! They all go through security never had an issue so far! You can also place an order at Boots to collect some formula and diapers after you have passed security!

Poo in every single nappy!

My 7 month old is pooing extremly frequently. It’s every 30 mins to an hour she poos! Only really small ones but yellow and runny. Not sure if this is a tummy bug or normal? She only was pooing once a day and it was solid!

Sleeping

Is it normal for my 8 month old to have 3 naps a day? He wakes once in the night for a bottle but apart from that sleeps at night usually from 6:30/7pm-6/7am ish. And his wake windows are usually 2-3 hours

I don’t know when to drop a nap and his naps usually only last 30 mins

6 weeks old baby smiling

I swear I’m not crazy, my baby is smiling and it’s not because he’s got gas or it’s a reflex. Anyone else? Also, how cute is the cooing?

Feeds during nursery day

My daughter is starting nursery 3 days a week in June (will have turned one 3 days prior). She still breast feeds at least 3 times during the day. I’m not sure what to do when she starts nursery as I find it hard to get any milk when I express so don’t think that’ll be an option. Has anyone found that when their just turned 1 year old has started nursery that they just adapt without being BF during the day?

The closer we’re getting, the more anxious I feel about it😫

For those who have an awful sleeper…

How many goods nights of sleep on average does your toddler or baby give you?

Please only answer if you would class your baby as being an awful sleeper. Including, frequent wake ups, long re-settling times, taking ages to go to sleep/sleep refusal, low sleep needs (sleeps significantly less than recommended for their age).

My baby has always been a bad sleeper and I would say that I only get 1-2 good nights a week (if lucky). I have already had to resettle him twice since he went to bed at 7:30 😭
