Weaning

Hi all! Looking at advice and snack ideas for weaning with a baby with CMPA. If anyone knows shops as well that sell dairy free bits for babies too then let me know!

Thank you 😊

Just go for whole foods! I do cucumber sticks, banana sticks, berries in a teether thing (i have a munchkin brand one), toast fingers are great too.
Cooked broccoli or carrot is nice at meal time alongside family meals xx

Asda has a really good vegan range and Tesco had a great free from range as well.

If you’re just starting off I wouldn’t worry about dairy free foods as you should start with veggies, followed by fruits as well as allergens. Once baby moves onto actual meals then Tesco and Asda are great for vegan/free from products x

You're SOO lucky!

Is anyone else sick of being told their husband/partner is amazing and aren't you so lucky he does so much to help you with the baby. Yes he helps raise his child. Does he do anywhere near as much as me, no way. I breastfed for 7 months, I took a year off my job and so have lost money, affected my pension, literally get up every night for a year with this baby. Does he get asked the same thing about me. I don't think so. If anything it's like a negative on me as a mum that I'm getting SO much help. I might lose it at the next person to say this to me.

Are we letting children watch the old Disney movies?

Movies like Pocahontas, Jungle Book, Peter Pan and Pinocchio. I know there is a lot in movies like these that is controversial but I grew up on these and wondering if I should just let my 3 year old watch the old Disney movies. My favorite was Fox and Hound but watching it as an adult gives me a take I didnt realize as a kid.

CHIA SEEDS

Hi moms 😊 How do you usually prepare chia seeds before eating them, for both yourselves and your little ones? Do you wash them first and then soak, just soak them, or eat them as they are? What works best for you?

3 year old wants a PHONE

Help! My daughter sees her 5 year old cousin on her phone(yes my brother got his 5 year old a real phone) and has been constantly asking my husband and I if she could have a 'real' phone. We have given her pretend ones that light up and make sounds and she recognizes its not a real working phone and asks for a real one. I didn't think I would be having this argument at 3. I didnt think she would ask for a phone until middle school. Idk what I was thinking. Any ideas on how to convince her she doesnt need one? I tried telling her things like "it will hurt your brain and eyes" "your eyes dont like it" and I redirect her to books, toys, slime, playdoh literally anything besides a phone. Any suggestions on how to deter her from wanting one?

Solid failure

I spend hours finding food inspiration and making a solid meal my baby won’t touch. Yet she’d happily eat a piece of cardboard if we let her.

What should I do

I’ve been married for 6 years and my man has been seeming indifferent or irritated towards me. He is my first everything. I am 8 months postpartum and we haven’t had a lot of sex because I have absolutely no help. He told me a girl was flirting with him at the job but he wasn’t going to do anything. But he also told me I should get out more with friends or by myself, It would be good for me to get flirted with. I said I’m going through PPD…. Going out is not something I’m eager to do but if I do go out I’d like it to be with him. He says idk to going out with me. Yesterday I found these messages and he lied to me about it when I confronted him. I’ll add the text messages in the comments
