Anyone else hating weaning? Every time I try to put my girl in her high chair, or put a bib a or jacket on she screams until she's red and shaking.
By that point it pretty awful so we tend to abandon, we have barely given our 7.5 month old anything because of this.
Any tips or advice?
I've tried different chairs, no bib different times of day. Just exhausted and getting sad seeing all the other babies sat eating food in group chats

Kind of same situation, my 6.5 month old doesn’t wanna know anything about it, I’m preparing the food and directly in the bin because she’s not having it… I’ll tell myself that it will get better day by day and I’m trying not to force her..
have you tried finger food? Sometimes it helps

Have you got a bouncer? You could try feed baby in there. My little one doesn't like the high chair either

Have you tried a Munchkin feeder? They’re really handy when you’re out and about and don’t want the mess or can’t bring the full bib/jacket setup. You can put smooth food in them and they suck it through the feeder.
My LO has completely got the hang of it now, we have to refill it every few minutes because she sucks so hard 😂 but she absolutely demolishes whatever we put in there. We don’t use it for every mealtime, but it’s great to keep in your mum bag with a pouch for feeding on the go.

Have you got any high chair toys? Having something they’re really interested in but only comes out with the chair could help. Then once they are happy in the chair, add a bit of food to the table alongside it.
