Can I ask, does anyone know much regarding this?
I’ve been told I’m allowed the hours for nursery but a friend has said that even if one week (say we are on holiday) we are still charged/using some of those hours? Even tho she’s not going to be in nursery?!
They have said I can have the hours over 32 weeks, I thought it was 42 weeks?

32 weeks seems a strange number. Term time only (30/15 hours per week) funding should be spread over 38 weeks.
We get all year funding (apart from Christmas when nursery is closed) which works out as 22.5 hours per week.
The hours will always be used even if your not in as the space has been allocated for your child. The only thing we don't do is pay for lunch when we are away
Sorry that’s my bad! It’s 32 weeks, doing bedtime whilst posting 😂
Do you know if they still use the hours even if child isn’t attending, say we give a few weeks notice we are going on holiday, do they still use the hours?
Gosh it’s crazy!

Yes they will, you have essentially booked that space for your child and they have staff to pay so whether you're using it or not you'll pay for it. They can't give that place to someone else while you're on holiday x

Yeah you pay even if they’re off and you also pay for Bank Holidays (you’ll often find Mondays are quite available because of this!). It’s very much a set system rather than something you can pick and choose from, due to staffing etc as mentioned. Also make sure to get tax free childcare top ups if you’re eligible as it helps a bit x
