You are assuming that I am interesting 😅 I don’t have time to be interesting! I wake up, do chores, look after little ones, sleep, repeat.

I actually love this question as genuinely do think it is important to remain ourselves not just 'mum'.

Saying that though, the hobbies I had before, which included dancing, singing, theatre, self development activities, exploring new places, have all dropped off to some extent as I have had my babies, as 1) don't have the same levels of finances, 2) can't always get childcare and 3) very tired (aren't we all!)

But I do worry that I don't have much conversation these days other than about my kids. I do try and reassure myself that with the right friendship groups, we have loads to talk about, and no one thinks I'm boring! They're probably all thinking the same thing, that they are boring too!

I just figure that this is just a quiet time of life, and when the kids are a little older, I'll have more headspace and finances to explore things to give me somw more conversation again!!

I can sing. I can dance. I’m a good salsa and bachata dancer I only started 4yrs ago but I have natural rhythm and beat so I picked it up reallly quick w only 2 lessons a week. I’m starting kizomba this year, changing my days around so I can do that. I can speed rollerblade around the rink. I do my own lashes nails tan and hair and brows. The only service I’ve paid for is massage and IPL laser removal. I’m one of those people that don’t have one hobby but whatever subject comes up in convo I can take part of. Even cars 😂 I know a lil bit about everything rather than a lot about one thing

Has anyone ever just completely changed their lives to have a massive reset?

Basically tomorrow we tell our family’s that we’ve ever so slightly blown up our entire lives!

I’m going to tell my mum and my in-laws that not only have we sold my business that I’ve had for 9 years but we’ve also sold our home that we’ve been renovating for the past four years. AND after telling everyone we were one and done turns out I’m actually 10 weeks pregnant with baby # 2! 🥹

We decided after Christmas that we just didn’t enjoy certain aspects of our lives so we decided it was time for a change. The problem was we had so many big responsibilities what with my business and the house that it felt impossible to reshuffle our lives in order to get happy again. So we’ve got rid of it all except for my husbands stable and well paid job.

It’s been unbelievably emotional and scary but so far I’ve no regrets.

Has anyone else just decided to simplify their lives in order to start again? I’d love to hear your stories

If your child is a week into potty training do you just whip out the potty in any public place?

My son really needed to go and just running to a corner of the park where the pram was he ended up pooing his pants. I didn’t even know if it was the right thing to have him sat on the potty in front of everyone 🤷🏻‍♀️ but there was nowhere else. Is there anywhere you wouldn’t want your child to go?

How much does your husband bring home AFTER taxes for you to be a full time stay at home mom ?

Even if you are barely getting by it doesn’t matter how much he makes!
I am just curious to see how families are doing it?
I am a stay at home mom my husband brings in under $6000 a month after taxes we have a 3 bedroom apartment for very cheap so our monthly expenses are small compared to the average couple so this works for us ! We also do not want our child in preschool until he can at least speak for himself around age 2.5 -3

Is anyone else frustrated by the babys father?

So my almost 3 year old, has been taken care almost the whole time by me, dad comes.from work, have to argue almost everytime to get him.do most basic tjings like brush teetj, read a book, he always says is so tired from work, but if anyone calls, he gladly answer and talk for 1, 2or more hours sometimes lying down sofa or goimg out walking outside no matter how cold or hot is! We kind of just roommates, we dont have any relationship beyond being parents of our child. Sleep different rooms, he doesn't seem to care, he provides for all nasic needs, but that's it, is incapqble of playing with his daughter, r3ad properly a book, he will rather build u a new closet i stead of having to deal with our toddler...the few times did a little is beacuse i yell and argue a lot. Anyone going through same?
