Feeding (or not)

Is anyone else experiencing this? My little one is 5 months next week - and over the last three weeks or so he has just been soooo uninterested in feeding during the day! He is EBF and won’t last more than a few minutes before coming off the boob and wanting to look around etc. He just gets so distracted! The only way to get him to have a good feed is to feed him to sleep before his day time naps?! Any advice would be much appreciated xx

My little one is exactly the same, it’s not been fun in the hot weather trying to make sure she stays hydrated when she just won’t feed properly 😫
I have to do it when she’s waking up from a nap, or sit in a dark room with no noise or distractions. Sometimes I can put a muslin over her eyes which helps but most times she just pulls it off.
I’ve lost count of the times she’s come off the boob and exposed me in public while my boob is spraying milk all over her face 😂

I noticed my almost 5 month old was doing the same so I’ve started introducing one meal a day to him. He will have baby porridge or a small amount of puree and he seems a lot happier!xx

We’re in the same boat but he’s formula fed he’s not interested in drinking his bottles unless he’s tired which is another reason why he’s waking up so much at night as he’s so hungry. I’ve got an appointment with my health visitor tomorrow to discuss with her as my baby dropped a percentile in weight

This is the time they become much more interested in whats around them, so try feeding in a room where there isnt much going on - thats probably why before naps is working well. Theres nothing wrong with feeding him before naps though, thats when my babies have both had their best feeds x

Long road trip with baby and toddler.

Has anyone ever done a road trip with their partner and small kids? I’m stressing about everything. Like should I thaw out my breastmilk ahead of time and store it in my insulated water bottle I use just for bm? Should I use our car mini fridge? Just I just nurse her when we stop. I have to feed her only when we’re stopped anyway bc I’d never feed her in her car seat and risk her choking without being able to pat her back. But should I bother bringing the last bit of breastmilk my husband feeds her with? She’s EBF except during my husbands shift at night or if I’m sore from nursing all day I might give her a bottle. She rarely takes it from me anymore. Also how to keep my toddler entertained? I got him a busy board but I couldn’t find one without small pieces so I’d have to give it to him with all the pieces stored away. (It still has zippers and stuff. I know they’ll sleep long but it’s a 22-24 hour drive (We’re moving fromMD to Texas and basically taking 2-3 days instead of driving for a day straight )

Sleep troubles

Hello, my little girl is almost 19 months. For the past month we’ve really been struggling with her sleep and it’s just getting worse. She wakes up crying and no matter what we do the crying gets worse and worse. She won’t even be cuddled or rocked or patted back to sleep. She will struggle and scream. We’re up for hours at a time with her. I just don’t know what to do. Last night she was up from 11:30-1:30 then 3:30-5:30 then I’m up with our toddler at 6. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to help? Also she’s recently been weaned from breastfeeding in the past couple of weeks and she is getting her upper molars. I know these things will be part of it x

When did you stop using your baby monitor?

Hiya ladies,

Am pregnant with baby number 2 who is due in August 2026. My toddler will be 2 years 2 months when they're born.

By the time baby will need their own room with a monitor my toddler will be near-ish 3 years old.

Wondering when you stopped using the baby monitor to check on your toddler/child?

At this point I've accepted I'll need to buy another one but I'm curious when it seemed unnecessary for others!

Thanks :)

Hey everyone! I’m looking for weight loss advice from breastfeeding moms. I see advice and meal plans on Instagram but sometimes it just feels like they’re trying to sell me something lol. Would love to hear everyone’s opinions, tips, tricks, and experiences :)
