So my husband and I have a mutual friend who moved out of state. He asked me if I've reached out to her lately, and when I said no, he wanted to know why I'm acting like I don't know her or don't mess with her anymore.
My response? A phone works both ways.
When she first moved, I called and texted her a few times. No answer. No callback. No text back. At what point am I supposed to stop reaching out? I'm not about to keep chasing anyone to maintain a friendship. I have my own life, responsibilities, and things going on too.
Then I asked him if they've been talking, and he said "here and there," but then admitted he hasn't really talked to her since the beginning of May. Now I'm confused. Why is yall freely in contact with each other and I’m not in the know but I’m the one being questioned?
Maybe I'm missing something, but friendships are a two-way street. If someone wants to keep in touch, they can pick up the phone too. I'm not mad at anybody, but I'm also not begging anyone to stay connected to me.
But I now have questions… yall go something going on behind my back cause that strange and weird asf? Now all of a sudden you want to reach out to her today, like what’s really good?
Am I wrong for feeling this way? Or am I reading more into this than I should. I genuinely don’t know how to feel. I just want to cry and scream. This shit is fucking with my mental.
