Would you send your child to nursery during this heatwave?
My daughter goes to a private nursery so it doesn’t matter if she goes or not but I don’t know if to send her into nursery of Thursday. Where we live it’s supposed to be 34°C and I have a bad feeling about sending her to nursery on Thursday.

She will still be going but I will collect her early if needed. If I was still working there would be no option for her to not go in

Yes I just dropped her off

I'll be treating it as a regular day, unless the nursery tells us otherwise. They have an air handling unit that keep the space cooler and I know they don't let them out when it's very hot. But it's worth asking the question to the staff if unsure.

Ours has air con and will keep them inside in extreme weather so it’s the best place for him!

Yeah, nursery has better ventilation and air con unlike our house.
It’s just a normal day, they’ll have some outdoor time but stay in the shade and hydrate.

Similar to above, nursery have got air con in every room and a shadier garden space than we have at home- so he’ll be way more comfortable there than he would be sat at home!
I wouldn’t keep him home anyway, even if they didn’t have air con, he’ll be fine. It’s a hot day, nothing catastrophic. They’ll keep him as cool as they can, and well hydrated and we’ll all just go about our normal lives.
