School worries

My 3 year old is die to start F1 (UK) in September. We visited 4 primary schools in the area before settling on one (which turns out to be the favoured in the area) and when we visited to look round (out of school hours, so no children or staff) we were happy with it. I took my little boy for a 45minute stay and play session yesterday and, well....the children and staff he will be with daily. I'm by no means anything special but they were just so rough looking! I now can't stop crying at the thought of my child going through school with these kids. What do i do?

Is the area where you live quite cheap or rough? I guess what I am saying those will be kids of the people that live there so the other schools likely wouldn’t be much different

To be honest I’d be less worried about how they look and more concerned with how they are interacting with each other and your little one. Are the adults kind, patient and nurturing? Are the kids kind and friendly?
Do they have an approach to early years education that you are on board with?
Are the facilities up to scratch?
Those would be the questions I’d be asking myself.

What ever happened to not judging a book by its cover?
Just because they are ‘rough looking’ (in your opinion) it doesn’t mean they will be bad people.

UK weather

Am I the only one that thinks Nursery/ school closures are ridiculous and over the top. So now we cant even hope for hot weather as everything shuts down just like during winter. The children are probably cooler at school than most homes as most homes will be hotter! I hope my employer will understand why I now cant come in 😥

Nursery Guilt

I am a WFH parent, and I usually drop off from about 9am and pick up around 3pm because I feel guilty leaving my 18 mo for longer than this.

However, I only have her there 3/5 days and I work full time, so it’s not giving me enough time to actually get my work done.

It would also be ideal to maybe get some things around the house done before collection - especially since I’m paying for the full day.

I also noticed that most of the children who arrived before us are still there when I pick up.

So I wondered how long other parents with toddlers are leaving their little ones at nursery, and if my timing for drop off and collection is unusual?

Thanks!

Teen daughter pregnant

Just found out my 15 year old is pregnant, I’m planning on kicking her out tomorrow morning. She is 7
Months and hid this for 7 months. I feel like a terrible mother for not noticing. I somewhat did notice she started covering up more kind of strange for the summer. It explains why she didn’t go to our small family gathering pool event. I asked about the child’s father, he is currently with another young woman and has my daughter blocked and will not talk to her. She’s my 2/3 child I’m not sure how to handle this.

Am I an unreasonable wife?

My husband typically goes to football sessions on Monday evenings. Today he also worked in the office so leaving just about half hour between him coming back and having to leave again. I got really stressed about this because I have already done so much in the day and now I have only half hour window of "help" before I need to continue again. I haven't even managed to take a shower before he came back as baby only took half hour naps today and they were all contact naps. Husband spends an hour travelling to football, and an hour back, and the session is an hour long. I asked him if he is planning to go every week, and he got defensive and asked if I wanted him to sacrifice. I feel like I shouldn't even need to ask him, I don't mind doing all I've done in the day but honestly I can do with a break. He also usually does the bath time, story telling and bedtime for baby and so now I've to clear the dinner dishes plus try put her to sleep. Am I being unreasonable to ask him to stop going for football? Actually I wouldn't mind if he just gone to somewhere local for it so he isn't gone for 3 hours (2 hour spent on travelling) and will only be out for an hour ish if it's somewhere local. He says he is giving up on his friends and exercising.

I haven't even exercised since I've given birth. Honestly I would have loved to travel into London for my Pilates classes too but obviously baby comes first. I just don't know what to think of this and it makes me quite annoyed.

I think I just wanted to rant as it's been a long day.

Majorly unhappy in relationship( girls help I need advice)
Sorry it’s long

So I have never felt so alone in my relationship, have a 5 year old and 4 month old, my “partner” I feel like he literally hates me and cannot stand me, I try to text him and ring him talk to him make convo and I’m either left on read on text for ages then rubbish replies all the time or in person he just dosent wanna talk to me.. he will literally sit in the bathroom vaping all night, there’s nothing there anymore and I feel so sad it’s like I’m CONSTANLY begging for attention he’s even told me he’s got the ick. I don’t think he’s interested in me at all anymore, I’ve been talking about going on holidays etc or places he has absolutely no interest all he cares about is going to the pub with his friends, I talk about splitting up and he refuses, it’s like I’m in the relationship but with someone that’s dead inside with me??? Girls what do I do I feel so shit honestly.

I’ve had convo after convo after convo NOTHING changes 3 years of this almost 4!!! I miss having a proper convo and laugh with someone it’s acc making me really sad😢 I think I need to come to terms and realise the boy has absolutely 0 interest in me and 100% more interested in his phone

Haha not really recipe related. But thought I’d post for any boy (or girl) mums who’s little one might like these

When they came up on my Amazon Explore page I thought for second they were some kind of Father’s Day present for a dad that works in construction as a joke for their lunch to use.
But it’s for toddlers / kids 😅
