Not reaching for toys

My baby is 3 months old and has no interest in reaching for toys
Open to any suggestions or even toy suggestions
I don’t know if it’s still too early and I shouldn’t be worried
I just don’t want him to fall behind in learning skills

Mine wasn’t at 3 months, only really showed interest 4 going onto 5 months. I think it’s just one of those things some do early and some later so don’t panic you are both doing great!!

My little boy only started trying to properly reach for toys in the last few weeks and he's just turned 5 months. I'm sure he's doing great, try not to worry x

Girl he’s 3 months. He’s literally an infant. Mind didn’t start doing that till like 5 months. And even then he really is starting to do it ALOT at 6-7 months.

As above, still super early and pleeeeease don’t beat yourself up with a narrative around them learning skills etc. Follow their lead and let them discover the world and it’ll all fall into place, you can’t really force a skill but rather gently encourage and respond to their development at their pace x

my boy is 6 months/almost 7 months old and i’d say he only shown an interest at like 5 months old. i wouldn’t stress about it they are all different and will do things in their own time

Definitely developmentally appropriate, every child is different! Could just take time and interest in toys, put I thought I would share some things you could do still just if you want to promote it!
During tummy time you could use toys and boys standing in front of them to help their interest in toys overall. Another big thing you can do is play with them! Play with toys in front of them, hang toys over them, and make sounds.

Nursery Guilt

I am a WFH parent, and I usually drop off from about 9am and pick up around 3pm because I feel guilty leaving my 18 mo for longer than this.

However, I only have her there 3/5 days and I work full time, so it’s not giving me enough time to actually get my work done.

It would also be ideal to maybe get some things around the house done before collection - especially since I’m paying for the full day.

I also noticed that most of the children who arrived before us are still there when I pick up.

So I wondered how long other parents with toddlers are leaving their little ones at nursery, and if my timing for drop off and collection is unusual?

Thanks!

Teen daughter pregnant

Just found out my 15 year old is pregnant, I’m planning on kicking her out tomorrow morning. She is 7
Months and hid this for 7 months. I feel like a terrible mother for not noticing. I somewhat did notice she started covering up more kind of strange for the summer. It explains why she didn’t go to our small family gathering pool event. I asked about the child’s father, he is currently with another young woman and has my daughter blocked and will not talk to her. She’s my 2/3 child I’m not sure how to handle this.

Hire Handy Man over Incompetent Husband?

okay so, my neighborhood has a handyman guy who older ladies hire to help do tasks that a man would do like a husband like hang shelves, pictures, fix stuff etc. My husband has been very unsupportive of my school work and outing the child care on me, laundry on me, he doesn’t wash all the dishes I ask him to, he says he is tired from work and just lacks doing what I ask him to do. I ask for a picture to be hang doesn’t do it? I ask for handles to be put on drawers again doesn’t do it?

would I be an AH for hiring the handy guy to come and help me do stuff around the house?

Heatwave

What are you UK mamas doing with the little ones during this heatwave?
My LB is 1.5yo and I have no idea what to do with him, it’s too hot for the park/ play areas. He doesn’t like a paddling pool so o don’t have one of those in the garden, (garden is currently being redone anyway so he can’t play out there properly atm) just stuck on what to do with him.

Struggling with cleaning my house with a 13 month old boy running around

Lately it’s been so difficult for me to maintain cleaning my house. I don’t know if it’s because I don’t have a cleaning schedule, or maybe I just don’t have the motivation to. I’ve been in a rut and feeling stuck because I’m so tired of cleaning and doing the same routine everyday. Also been slightly depressed so that doesn’t help at all either. I love keeping my house clean but I give up sometimes because my son needs me present all the time and follow me around which I don’t mind. Oh and he literally unfolds all my laundry and messes things up after I organize lol

anyone have advice on how you do it or in a similar situation?
