Montessori bed or cot?

Hi,
I am moving in a few months and need to plan my babies room. He would be 7 and a half months and I wonder if we should get him a cot or a Montessori floor bed? I like the idea of him crawling in and out as he pleases but not sure if you girls have had any experience with them?
Thank you

We went from a cot to a toddler bed (mine is nearly 2) and she doesn't even get on and out of it shes not realised she has free will yet 🤣

My baby is not yet 6 months but when she is she will be straight into a floor bed and not a cot. For me eliminates the extra change when it comes to cot to toddler bed. She will become more confident and content in a floor bed by the times she old enough to walk and get out of it herself. Makes it less of a big deal, causing
Less issues with her staying in it at night.

Personally I would do a cotbed my eldest 2 didn't go in to the toddler bed till they were 2 or just a little older my littlest 1 now is 3months and has a cot bed it goes from birth up til she is around 5/6 yrs old and id rather that and know she is happy and safe not falling out no matter how low to the floor tbey are it can still scare them xxx

Mine would just refuse to stay in a floor bed when settling at bedtime 🤣
He would probably end up falling asleep somewhere really random 🤣

I LOVE our floor bed! its been a life saver for breast feeding for my back, and co sleeping, and me getting more sleep, my little one wakes up (room is baby safe) and she plays with her toys and books for half an hour while I snooze then wake up properly with her ❤️ when we got it she loved it! Highly recommend xxx

We're going straight to floorbed. He's never been a big fan of the crib and we have ended up cosleeping quite a lot so I'm thinking we just skip the extra step.

Yeah I've just got a double bed in spare room with bed rail guards around the bed currently but when we set up his own room I'm going to get a floor bed. As he's been used to a double and I end up in there with him most nights, although first time ever he done 6 hours straight last night!! The dream! He is 10months.

Hair help lol

My daughter is 6 and 1/2 months right now and every since I gave birth to her she’s had super super crazy hair that stands straight up, it started off as a little triangle and turned into a full blown palm tree. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love it, I think it makes her so beautiful and unique, but sometimes I have a very hard time styling it! We’re a busy family on both sides and we have lots of events and sometimes I wanna give her a cute little style but I cannot manage it with anything. Her grandma on her dad’s side suggests I use olive oil, my mom is suggesting coconut oil, and most people tell me to use water and the thing is most oils greases her up way too much and water makes her fluff so much worse! Does anyone have any baby safe suggestions I can attempt to use? Or perhaps a bath time and brush routine to try and settle her hair a bit.

No sleep

What is the best way of managing lo’s at night in the heat? Before bedtime we got our babies room as cool as we possibly could and ran a fan on the hallway most of the night. Doors open trying to let air flow through and he just slept in a nappy. Despite this his room stayed at 31/30 degrees till nearly midnight. He is a good sleeper usually however last night for the first time he was waking unsettled every hour😭 we just can’t get our house cool at all and it probably doesn’t help that we’ve only just moved and the only room with curtains is his room. Today is going to be even hotter which means another uncomfortable night and I’m already dreading what we could be in for with our very hot and bothered baby😫

Would you rather…

Have a 1.2 year old sleep 12 hour stretches every night BUT they wake up halfway through for milk

Or

Have them sleep the first half but cry and have restless sleep the second half waking every hour til morning

Cause I’m told they don’t need nighttime feeds. But he sure wants it haha and possibly needs it? He just sleeps so good when I do give him milk. But it is both sides nursing and I’m supposed to be weaning 🫠

Sex postpartum

How often do you have sex 4 months postpartum and I honestly have zero sex drive. I used to enjoy sex but since having kids it’s just been so different. I’ve had sex 5 times since giving birth to my baby and even then I just don’t enjoy it like I used to. Has anyone experienced this?

Help EBF

Has anyone else had the same issue ?
My nearly 4 week old pretty much chokes/coughs and splutters when on the boob and because of that she’s taking in loads of air which makes her gassy and uncomfortable no matter how long I burp her for, I have a fast flow so I’ve tried pumping before but because I’m only 4 weeks I’m scared of causing myself a over supply as I already wake up super engorged and leaking EVERYWHERE , she’s also been throwing up a lot like after every feed then she wants to go on again and won’t settle because she’s thrown up
