Napping in public

Hello! Any tips on getting your baby to sleep in public?

We are really lucky and I don’t take it for granted that our 8 month old will nap in his cot. But it’s as if that and the car is the only place he will nap now! If we’re out and about he just will not drop off, he’ll cry and kick and flail about if you rock him and I don’t know what else to do.

Does anyone have any tips? I feel like I avoid going out to meet people because it’s hard to deal with the cries when I try and get him to nap!

Following - my son was able to sleep in the carrier and pram but when My little dropped to 2 naps you can plan the day out alot easier around the naps around car rides etc so it's been a while and I don't think he can anymore in the pram. Have you tried a carrier I feel like all kids mostly sleep in them. I could never rock my kid to sleep like outside in a restaurant or a shopping centre pram or carrier

I don't try when we're out as there's no point, I play a lot to wear her out and once she's tired enough she'll sleep in the pram once we get moving. Front facing helps as she's not distracted by me chatting away

Owlet sock critical alarm

Daughter was in bed with me last night as she is teething. Her owlet sock sounded the critical alarm at 3:30 in the morning. I panicked and grabbed my daughter but she was completely fine and started giggling. When I checked the app this morning it showed that I had an alert but when I looked at her stats for 3:30 in the morning it doesn’t even show a drop in oxygen. Has anyone ever got false critical alarms? Should I go to the GP to have her checked?

Co-sleeping

I’m about to start co sleeping with my LO, how did ppl get over their fear of rolling on them? I know they say you have the mothers instinct so u don’t move but that still doesn’t stop me worrying

Hallucinating or no?

Ok so it's 10pm at night. 2 people in bed, blue and white. White is usually asleep by 9:30 but goes to take a shower at 10.

Blue, who is and was awake hears moaning (and heavy breathing) and jokes that they could have helped (white get off). The text chain in the comments follows.

Blue then says they must be hallucinating and to ignore them. White doesn't respond.

Bkue apologises imfor causing a problem, the next morning. White says "it's ok".

Do we think Blue was hallucinating? Or was White lying?

Please, please, please help.

Breastfeeding issues & guilt

My baby was born on 21st June after a lengthy induction & a horribly traumatic time at the hospital. I was in a really bad place physically & mentally & feel like the first week completely passed by in a blur. I only just feel like we are starting to bond. I was hoping to exclusively breastfeed but it's just not happening. We have seen a lactation consultant which was helpful & we will be booking a follow up.

Am I being too anxious?

For context I live with my parents.
My father just run a bath (downstairs bathroom) and has left it to go have a lie down instead. He does this often and will top it up with hot water when he decides he wants to go in.
He turns the boiler up very high to run the bath and I can’t touch the water myself without it burning my hand.
Bathtub is full as high as it can go and piping hot. I have a 3 year old autistic child who loves water and will go jump into it at any opportunity.
Am I crazy for at least wanting a door to be shut separating the living area from the bathroom? Of course I watch my child all the time but they like to go in the kitchen to see my mother and could easily pass straight through and into the bathroom without anyone realising
