I’ve tried using huckleberry for their nap predictor and it’s actually really helped us get into a routine! It doesn’t mean my LO will nap at a set time but helps me know when he needs to start winding down for the next nap and then bedtime so helps us know when to start bath time etc. of course we go by his cues and he naps/ feeds when he tells me as a priority but the app has helped me feel a little more organised and in control!

7am - bottle
Play/awake time
9am - sleep
10am- bottle
Awake time
1pm- bottle
Awake/play
Sleep
5pm- bottle
Awake time/play
Sleep
9pm - bottle
Then put to bed for the night & usually sleeps through if shes had all 5 bottles during the day.
Between 5 and 9 she is usually very Awake (I think this is because our toddler is in bed at this point and she enjoys the time with us)

Huckleberry!! Honestly It’s so good with the nap predictions. He wakes properly around 8-9 we chill that wake window then his second we do floor time/tummy time then his next is more so toy play/sensory play then his next is floor/tummy time again and the last one we chill out have a bath and just cuddle or chat. He goes to bed around 10pm. What I tend to find works is wind down for naps so we turn the lights low and turn the tv down and give him his dummy etc and try to settle him 20-15 mins before the nap predictor and 8/10 it works

Near constant uncomfortableness at opening vagina

32w, I have near constant uncomfortableness and slight pain at opening of vagina, tried spritz for bits (does nothing), ice pack (soothes whilst it’s on but as soon as ice pack is warm again the uncomfortablness is back). This has been going on probably for 4 weeks now, I mentioned it to my midwife on the 24th and they just brushed it off… “you don’t look like you have a urine infection… does it hurt or burn when you pee” no… “ok your fine”.

Anyone else got this, and tips for how to soothe/ease the pain. Is this something I’ve got to just accept until baby comes?

Choosing our 2nd son's name just showed me even more, how culturally inept people are

We chose a first name for our 2nd son and yes granted it is very uncommon, but it's what my husband and I agreed on and loved. My husband is half British and half Jamaican, so the name is in honor of that. We chose the name Babatunde, also before we even chose that name our first son kept pointing to my belly saying "Baba". When I told family/friends I got some "LOL's" or "what a mouthful". I'm kind of used to this anyway because with our first son people STILL say his name wrong even though it's not hard at all and these people are family and his own doctor 🤦🏼‍♀️ I remember being at a baby group and a Mum asked if my son was Japanese because of the "weird name"... His name is Kaizen (pronounced Kaizen (like sky) and Zen (as in Zenn garden). He consistently gets called "keyzone" "keyzen" "kozen" half the time I know it's just ignorance. But all this opened my eyes even more to how inept or ignorant people are when it comes to other cultures or ethnicity. Obviously I'm extra aware especially with the way the UK is going. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this?

Lifting after caesarean

Has anyone started lifting heavier than baby after having a caesarean? I'm 6 weeks PP tomorrow and have a 2 year old toddler. I'm eager to start driving again so I can take the toddler out to burn off energy, but I've not had the 6 weeks check up yet, and won't have this until the 15th July. My wound looks healed bar one side still looks raised and doesn't look as healed as the rest. I've read this could be the side they closed up the wound? For those that have had caesareans is yours the same?

Settle something for me.....

If your partner went out to the shop to grab a picture frame, and while out messaged "do you want anything else?" To which you replied "no", but then he came home with an ice cream for everyone in the family but you....would you be annoyed?

Like I didn't realise you were somewhere that even sells ice cream, and didn't realise everyone was getting ice cream but me!

Just to add, I'm currently 8 weeks postpartum and breastfeeding and so am permanently hungry 😂
