What should I do?

Our pediatrician blew raspberries on my 4month olds feet today.

Idk if I'd get a new pediatrician, but i would definitely express how that crosses a boundary. How they respond would determine if i get a new one

I wouldn't think anything of it at all.

I dunno. I think it’s all personal preference.
Our paediatrician is lovely and my son likes her. I’d prefer him to feel comfortable, calm and happy whilst he’s at a serious appointment about his health
(Obviously I don’t know what your paediatrician is like!)

I wouldn't like that either. I understand that they probably just love babies which is why they did that, but also as a Dr shouldn't they know that the mouth is filthy?
I still wipe down my baby's hands and feet after leaving public places, but maybe Im just paranoid 😅. But i dont think they should've done that especially since your baby is getting to the stage of sticking their own feet in their mouth.
Do you have any other complaints abt ur pediatrician otherwise? If not I would respectfully ask them to not do that in the future.
But if you aren't that attached to the pediatrician to begin with I would consider switching. But I would at least give them a chance to correct their behavior, or maybe tell them why you're switching so they know not to do that with other patients.

I feel like if they’ve been seeing your baby a while they might feel comfortable but, if YOU feel uncomfortable that’s all that matters. you should just tell them you’d prefer if they didn’t do that and if they start acting weird then get a new pediatrician or if you’re not confident in speaking up just get a new one anyway! it’s all about comfort for you and your little!

Accidentally Found Shady Stuff abt Hubby

Me and my husband share a Google account mainly for the maps. I wanted to look back to see what Thai massage place we used to go to but instead found he searched for a “massage parlor” and went to a sketchy place that has had arrests for prostitution when we were together in 2020. He has visited some other questionable places upon seeing the list of all massage places visited on his Google and before we started dating there were quite a bit of “happy ending” massages in Amsterdam, Paris, Canada, where it is technically legal but the 2-3 I’ve found he went to since we’ve been together are in states where it is illegal. He even looked up red light district multiple times and “how to say condom in Dutch” after searching for red light when he was in Amsterdam before we started dating. This seems like a pattern and something that doesn’t just stop but instead got more savvy about it in my mind.

I am a sahm with no bank account currently so I feel I need to get my ducks in a row and save up some before bringing it up because this could possibly blow up our marriage.

Has anyone been through this? Any advice?

Nursery - am i wrong?

So me and my husband have 2 girls - 2 year old and a newborn. We have both decided that we wont send the kids to nursery.

My eldest is non verbal and we are waiting to speak with professionals about potential autism.

We don't want to send them as we dont trust anyone to watch them bar family. I am so so paranoid and genuinely have nightmares of my kids being abused.
I lose sleep at the thought of my daughter being upset or lonely & not being supported. Intrusive fucking thoughts.

His family have a LOT to say and have even said that we are neglecting them by keeping them at home? My husband has said he also wants to homeschool when they are older.

Me & my hubby work opposite days so childcare is always sorted.

Am I wrong for not wanting to send them? Has anyone else not done nursery & homeschooled?

All I've ever heard are bad experiences & the news kind of confirms this for me.

Anybody’s parents not comfortable coming over to your house because they don’t like your spouse?

My husband and I had a big disagreement a couple months before the baby was born. I vented to my mom about it and she was upset with him understandably.
Fast forward the baby is born and my mother wasn’t able to come over because she was sick at the time and didn’t fully recover until my baby was two months. When she finally came over to help me while I slept, she told me that my husband would come out of his office whenever the baby started to cry and rudely told her not to turn on the tv when she asked to play a show for her. She felt that he didn’t want her to be there. But when I spoke to my husband, he was very apologetic and explained that it wasn’t like that.
I told my mom that it was a misunderstanding and next time I’ll be awake when she comes over but she said she’s not coming over anymore and if I need help to go over to her house.

Has anybody been in a similar situation? If so how did things start to work out?

Having a hard time introducing solids

Hi mums,

i'm having a hard time introducing solids to my 6 and a half month old. I exclusively breastfeed, no bottles involved and have been trying for a few weeks to give him solids.

So far he likes fruit, especially banana, peach, melon etc but not a huge fan of savoury things. He just about ate pureed carrot and potato with breastmilk.

is this normal? what have you done to encourage solids? and how did you introduce solids?

Ex man rant!

Ugh why are men so nasty! This man was the perfect guy at the start. I ignored the first red flag when he started talking bad about his baby mum, saying she didn’t treat him right etc ect, but he took all of my feelings into consideration, told me he was considering marriage with me, even said he wanted to have a baby with me! Everything was so perfect but then the cracks started to show around two months in. We were arguing a lot more, he shoved me out of the way into the door when I was trying to talk to him, he always found it so easy to leave. Told me I was too controlling, all because I asked him to spend some more time with me! He said he loved my son as if he was his own but in the next breath was moaning about how my son cries too much and I need to be tougher on him! Every argument was my fault, he would turn it around on me and blame me for everything! But this all stemmed from the fact that we had four dates in six months and he only brought me flowers once, and that was because I asked him! The effort stopped and his true colours came out to play when he started making comments about my weight, my mental health and how much smarter he was than me. He claimed he made so much time for me but whenever he came round all he would do is moan and sit on his phone! In our last phone call conversation he said to me ‘you’re lucky I don’t hit women, otherwise I would boot your door in and give you a slap’.I feel so sorry for any girl that ends up with him. He is the definition of a toxic narcissist. Just feel like I need some support at the moment, rant over 💔
