Help

Guys I'm about to crash out. My daughter is going through what I can only describe as terrible 2 but she's only 9 months old. My husband recently took a new job but it's night shift so he is gone from 5:30-5 but by the time he wakes up in the morning I'm basically all alone with our daughter from 5:30pm to 2pm the next day. Usually he has Thursday, Friday, and Saturday off so I let him rest as much as he wants Thursday and Saturday and ask him to take her Friday. Well he just told me that he works tomorrow because he has mandatory overtime (which he's known about for a week) and won't be able to take our daughter Friday as it'll be his rest day and I usually give him Saturday. Literally the only thing keeping me sane was the fact that Friday I could finally have some me time after what has been one of the worst weeks I've had since becoming a mom. I'm literally curled up on my couch crying as I type this trying to get my daughter to sleep cause she refuses to and has been for over a month. Please help.

I’m going through something similar my husband got a new job and it requires a week or more sometimes of travel. He just told me instead of coming home Friday at 6pm it could be closer to 2am or possibly Saturday at 1pm and I cried for about two hours. My baby is currently 10 weeks.

Would you leave your 3.5 year old in the bath alone? And just go sit on the couch in the living room with your phone

I have been cooped up all day with my son because of air quality warnings and it’s been a lot grumpy day day and my husband gets home from work and also seems grumpy so he goes to the bathroom for like half an hour and then comes out a d I’m like hey can you start [our son’s] bath? I am just waiting for something to be done in the oven then I can take over. So he starts it and then a couple minutes later he comes out and sits on the couch and goes on his phone and PULLS A BLANKET over himself I’m like ??? I’m not done in the kitchen yet and he’s like ya he’s fine I’m like … what are you talking about he needs supervision. He’s like why (I mentally checked out here because obviously I’ll just have to do it myself) snd was like uh cause he could get hurt and my husband said and what would me being in there do … so I just stopped responding to him and went and did my sons bath. Am I being even remotely unreasonable? No he couldn’t see the bath, no he wasn’t just grabbing a towel or something from the other room, just lazy

Advice - Mother In Law

Every week my child comes home from
Their grandparents with nappy rash, a bump, new bruise, loose stools and when confronting my other half about it he says they are doing us a favour and will not say anything from the one time I asked why my child was throwing up from being fed stuff they shouldn’t at a very young age. This has caused a huge row and lots of things said and I don’t know what to do? Worrying that he doesn’t want his own child to not have all these things happen to them and I only want the best for my child 😢

Exclusively breastfed nearly one year old still not eating solids or showing any interest

My baby girl is a year old in a few weeks and still has no interest in solids. She will bat away any attempts to spoon feed her and when offered finger food will play with it but won’t put any at all in her mouth. She also doesn’t take bottles. She is starting nursery this week and I’m most nervous about how she will get on in relation to food. Has anyone had this experience with their little one and if so when did they start eating and how did the adjust to nursery?

Fiance is financially irresponsible

I am struggling. I am a sahm and have been looking for a job for 3 months but haven’t landed anything. My fiance works full time and we have a 1yo. Every month we are short on money. I’ve had to sacrifice things like conditioner just to make ends meet. Meanwhile my fiance goes to work and spends $30-$60 a week on food and drinks. We have had countless conversations about it and he always says he’s going to stop but he doesn’t.
A few months ago I found out he was gambling with a credit card that we share. He lost about 3-$4,000. I am getting some money soon in an inheritance and I feel like it would be useful to pay off our debt but I just don’t trust that he’s going to start being smart with money. I have done so many things to try to save us money and I never take our son to do things that cost money. But he’s not trying and idk what to do. I don’t want him to just expect that I use my inheritance to help us but I feel like I have to in order to get us out of this hole. I really really want a job and I’m trying but it’s so hard to find something in my field right now. I guess I’m just venting but also don’t know how to move forward with him. How do I talk to him about this and make him actually change? I’m thinking of using some of my inheritance for our credit card debt but he has to pay for portion he lost gambling. Uggghhhh. Sorry for the long text. I have no one to talk to about this.

Struggling with motherhood

I have an 18 month old boy and I am really struggling with motherhood. I am with him 6 days a week as my partner works and don’t have a place for him at nursery until his 3. I feel the pressure to raise a child is massive, I worry all the time about him just babbling and not talking yet, making food for him, letting him watch tv, not talking to him enough. I feel it’s just so much pressure to get it right and I feel like I’m absolutely failing at it at the moment.it just all rests on me as we don’t have any outside help
