Felt like my OBGYN (who on all accounts is great) was pretty quick with my postpartum/6-week checkup. She offered me birth control, asked if i was breastfeeding, checked my tears/stitches, had me fill out the depression screener 10 questions then said see ya next year for your annual pap.
Am I missing something regarding maternal care?? Is this just how it is?? In and out and on to the next I guess 🤔😐😮💨

That's pretty much how mine went as well. Had a csection so they peeked at it asked if I decided on birth control skimmed my screener asked if I felt okay and said to call if I had any issues and sent me on my way. My appt was at 12 I was in my car on the phone with my husband at 1207

Sounds standard 👍 it’s funny how much care goes into the pregnancy and then basically nothing afterwards.

Just wondering not being rude at all! Just genuinely wondering what you would like for them to do for you instead or what more? I hadn’t thought there was a problem with my postpartum appointments (mine went about the same besides them giving me advice on natural family planning and calling if I had more bleeding and C-section care)
