I do what we call the floppy test in this house. Wait until they are floppy so that when lift an arm or leg it just flops back down. Then for night time sleep swaddling helps. When transferring to the crib put legs and bum down first then back then head. Every baby is different though x

Swaddle saved my life at this point!

I have to wait until my little one is fully asleep otherwise she does the same thing and will wake up on transfer. Once I put her back in the bassinet, I’ll gently lay my hand on her stomach, and once she’s fully settled back down again I can remove my hand.

Very slow hand movements taking away, but like above ☝️ put down once fully asleep and been winded.

Have you tried a dummy? Could also try transferring onto side and then rolling onto back - doesn’t get the startle reflex going quite as much. I also cosleep and find this works for me as he feeds every 2 hours so I don’t have time to wait for deep sleep/crib transfers every time
