I’m sooo irritated maybe thinking irrational idk. So today I took my glucose test, I’m currently 16 wks. The results just came back it’s 180. Like wtf beside coffee I had yesterday afternoon I only drink water. I blow thru a half a gallon a day sometimes a lil more. So I’m like how was my numbers high like that?!? I don’t even remember what I had for dinner last night to be able to say maybe that. This am I didn’t eat nothing and after my appointment I crash. I always do. I start my job Monday and I know they bout to try to get me to do another appointment 3hrs long. Then between 26&28wks do it again. I’m not bout to lose this upcoming job I’m a single mom with 3 babies been living off my tax money that’s running out. Haven’t worked since I found out I was pregnant in May. stomach virus activated my pregnancy symptoms in hd. I’m 37 years old I know I’m high risk they made a point of telling me but if I don’t start this job we will be homeless money is running out. I’m questioning if my stress levels have anything to do with my numbers being elevated but I doubt it. I just need some advice please. I’m rambling cuz I know I’m going to refuse it and say wait til my 26-28wk appointment which will give me time to be able to get my schedule where I’m off on Wednesdays so I can be home sick af. Never experienced this before with my boys I’ve had issues with intaking sugar and with this pregnancy it’s the only boy symptom I’ve been experiencing but she is a girl confirmed by nipt and ultrasound. I’ve never been a sugar girl I love salty stuff so im just 🤯

First off I’m so sorry your plate is so full, i really feel for you mama💞
I was really surprised by what trigger my gestational diabetes. I didn’t realize it wasn’t just sugar, it’s mostly the carbs we intake. Could it be from carbs?

What does having a job have to do with your blood sugar? This post is confusing

Sorry to hear this mama. I will say glucose isn’t just about sugar but more so carbs which turns into sugar. How are you doing with carbs? Do you drink juice or soda? When I had elevated glucose with my 1st pregnancy I put myself on a strict diet and brought my numbers down dramatically. It might seem hard but it’s not impossible. You can do it. You could use chat gpt to come with a low carb pregnancy safe meal plan. I ate oatmeal everyday, salads, healthy sandwiches, lean meat. Not much bread, pasta or rice

Okay so I'm a diabetic type 1. Food raises your sugar. And it can take all day or it can happen super fast. It depends on your body. Also you can work with your ob and see if they're fine with it but you can text your sugars at home and bring them a log instead of doing the test. Many crunchy moms do this instead or the drink cause of the chemicals in them. I don't think 180 is high but so take this seriously having very high blood sugars aren't good for the baby health
