Fair or am I being silly

We've just sent out the invites for my son's 4th birthday in September. It'll just be family and close friends.
My husband's sister has offered to give him his cousin's pedal bike with stabilisers, as it's in great condition.
I'm genuinely not ungrateful, but my son currently has a balance bike and we've always said we'd wait until he'd mastered that before buying him a brand-new red pedal bike of his own (without stabilisers). It's something we've been looking forward to getting him ourselves.
My husband is now saying he'll tell his side of the family not to buy our son anything for his birthday.
Am I being unreasonable for wanting to buy this particular present ourselves, or is my husband overreacting

I agree with you, I think as parents there’s certain special things that we want to buy ourselves. I’m sure if your husband said to is sister we appreciate the offer but we’d love to buy one ourselves as we’re looking forward to it I think as parent herself she would totally understand. So I do think husband is overreacting

I understand in a way but also we love hand me downs...and I wouldnt be paying for a brand new bike if the one offered is in good condition. Also id take the stabilisers off before you give it to your son. There will definitely be other chances to buy your son a new bike.

I think your husband is overreacting a little bit but also you can always accept the bike and re-gift it at some stage and buy another bike you were planning to buy.
That way everyone is happy.

Feeling lonely

Does anyone get sad at how little support friends and family have given since you have had your baby? Is this normal for everyone? My baby is 16 months old and some friends haven’t even met them. My side of the family live in a different country and my other half doesn’t have much family close by but they never check in or see how we are coping. Lately I am feeling a lot of rage on how hard things are and how no one ever even thinks to call by or see how we’re doing. I don’t expect free childcare or a house cleaner just a bit of acknowledgement or moral support 😂 since becoming a mum there are lots of friends I’ve barely spoken since to so maybe I was driving the friendships as they seem to be fizzling. Am I being selfish by feeling this way? I just feel so alone in all this and it’s exhausting and suffocating. Before I had kids I don’t think I was the best friend to my friends who were mums but I feel like I wasn’t this crap! I remembered birthdays and messaged regularly to check in and saw them often enough. Is this just a universal experience or am I alone in this

Baby no.2

No job, already have a toddler who is 2. What do I do! Applying for jobs like mad, looking like mad. We’re getting a council house soon but so stressed. Do I work or do I be a stay at home mam?

Any advice?

I know no one will answer truthfully

Do you really want to make friends or is it that you want followers , numbers , or and ego boost

Back to work

I’m going back to work at the end of August and am gonna do nightshift so I can still be at home with my boy during the day. Has anyone done this before and have any tips on getting through it without being permanently exhausted🤣me and my partner opted for this as it’s easier because we don’t need childcare and I don’t want to miss out on milestones x

I’m I wrong or

Please leave a comment and let me know what you guys think. Does this mean your partner is disgusted by you he keeps leading you on acting like you’re gonna have sex and never does that night and then he is disgusted to go down on you and you found searches. On his phone about skinny women hook up and gay sex so obviously I don’t fit the criteria that he wants correct
