Why do other mums give up on friendships and making the effort? I have a 14 month old and throughout my maternity leave I was often going to different groups to get us both out and in doing so I made a small handful of friends with similar aged babies. Had a good few months where we’d meet up fairly often and could always message when needed. 2 of these said friends disappeared with no word at the start of the year the rest I have not seen since before my babies birthday. I seem to always have to be the one to make the effort or make the suggestion of meeting which even then it takes weeks to organise. Was meant to be seeing someone today whose now made a pathetic excuse and cancelled. I don’t understand how there are mums who have a regular and consistent group of friends? It makes such a huge difference seeing other people and I’d love for my lo to have other babies to hang out with. Am I the only one or am I doing something wrong?!

You’re not the only one so please don’t think that! I often sit in M&S cafe on a Tuesday on my own and I used to look around and wish I had people around me but then I look at my baby and I’m not really on my own🥰
I think your baby is a perfect age to get out and about with and attend classes and you will make friends in time! True friends stick by you remember that🥰
