I have started a new business which requires me to be on the road alot. Since its the summer its easier since my daughter goes to her dad. When school starts I am nervous on how I would actually balance working and being a mom. My daughter and her father relationship is very rocky and I have tried to mend it but it is what it is. Her father lives with his parents but my daughter has her own room and they just bought her a puppy. I don't want her to feel like i abandoned her for my work or hate me for leaving her with them. She constantly ask when she is coming home every time she is with them. I know it will be diffucult if she has to be there full time. I'm really want our lives to get better...

How old is your daughter? Is she old enough to talk to about it?

Was he at all abusive or anything towards you??? Or a drug addict????? Or anything like that???? If they have a rocky relationship because he won’t work on it then I don’t think primary custody should go to him…is he capable of supporting her?

I personally would not be sending my daughter anywhere she doesn’t want to be, is asking constantly when she’s coming home, etc.

No girl I always said I would
Give my daughters dad full custody if we ever got into a custody battle or if he ever asks , and she’s under 1 💕 even if he isn’t capable of supporting her he needs to step up Just as you did and had no choice but to . I hate that men are never given the same responsibilities as women if he is a “father” he will step up just as you did 😘

She's at a age (9) ,where she needs you the most.
How many years will you be in the busisness? and do you intend on having her back in your full time care?

I think this could permanently change your relationship with your daughter.
Even if it’s truly for work, she’s 9 and may see it as, “Mom chose work over me.” You even said, “I don’t want her to feel like I abandoned her for work,” and that’s a very real possibility if she goes to live with her dad full time.
I also don’t understand sending her to a parent she doesn’t have a great relationship with, especially if he’s still living with his parents. Stability is so important at her age.
No one knows your full situation, but I’d think very carefully about the long-term emotional impact. Jobs come and go, but your relationship with your daughter is irreplaceable.

Not a bad mum but honestly I wouldn’t make her stay full time there if she doesn’t like it, her dad needs to work on strengthening their relationship first before any of that

i couldn’t do it. i get you want to invest more time in your business but the business isn’t your baby, she is 💕 9 years goes so fast and at that point she’ll be an adult and you’ll have the rest of your life to be on the road. aside from the fact she hates him and hates being there, at 9 years old she’s starting the next group of formative years that will influence her attachment type and future prospects forever. do you really want a man who still lives with his parents who has a bad relationship with his daughter being the only custodian she can go to for advice on relationships, subject choices and university or jobs etc? but that’s just my opinion, i’d say the same to a father who’s thinking of leaving his child’s life too x

Your daughter's always gonna wanna prefer to be with you over Anyone else because you're her mom. It stinks but if you took her on the road with you or you changed jobs What would her life look like?
Do you have to give up primary custody In order for them to look after her while you travel for work?
Because if you could just make some sort of arrangement with them that while you had a traveling job they'd look after her and explain it to her that this is a really good job and you want to be able to support her and you so you don't live on the streets And you don't have many options type thing... She may not understand it now but she will when she's older.
Money means a lot but if she's 9 she'll be a teenager in like four years. Which is not really that long and by that time she may be more than happy to be away from you all the time.
You've got a hard choice but If you have no other options.
