Anti bassinet

This lil muffin refuses any bassinet/crib/swing/doc-a-tot etc. She only wants to be on me or held by me. Any advice? She’s three weeks. I’m exhausted 😵‍💫

My daughter is only 7 days today and I’ve started something I regret already don’t get me wrong I love sleeping with her but now she will only sleep if she is with me or her dad and last night I was a little frustrated because I couldn’t be comfortable and have her in a safe position while in the bed with us so of course I had to sacrifice my comfort but I slept with her 1 time and now if she gets put down or is in the bassinet she does not like it she wakes up and wines and cries

Hey! Just wanted to say how cute is your baby. Have you tried baby wearing? That would free up your hands and give your baby the comfort she needs at the same time.

Let her cry . You dont want your baby to be clingy . Its ok for them to cry .

I was given advice to use a heating pad in the bassinet (and remove it before putting the baby in.) Also to put my breast pads in the bassinet with my 3 week old so she can still have the familiar smell nearby. So far it’s hit or miss over here, but maybe worth a try?

To circumcise or to NOT circumcise, that is the question.

Hey ladies, so I'm about to give birth, like... he should be here tomorrow. and I'm torn between the two. His dad isn't and he's not really helping me with this decision and now its crunch time. I feel like dad hasn't had any issues and (tmi) but I personally think its pretty cool, and can see certain benefits of have a "pull back" but I've only had a daughter and this is my first (and last) boy. I asked one of my friends who didn't choose to circumcise her son and she said she wish she had did it. He's about five now and she says that it irritates him.
So now I'm like... what to do?!

Nursery bag

Hello! Looking for a small backpack for nursery with my son’s name sewn or printed onto it. I’ve been told to check Etsy but just wanted to ask here for recommendations to see if there are any other good bags out there! Any ideas? ☺️

Toddler rejection 😢

My son is nearly two, and I’ve found myself feeling rather saddened by something I’ve noticed recently.
Whenever we’re somewhere with other children, whether it’s the park, a playground, soft play or anywhere similar, he toddles over to them with such enthusiasm, only for them to wander off. I do appreciate that they’re all still very young and that this is simply how toddlers often interact, but it seems to happen so consistently that I can’t help wondering whether he’s beginning to notice.

Perhaps I’m projecting, as I experienced quite a lot of rejection myself as a child, so I’m very conscious that I may be viewing things through that lens. Even so, it’s difficult not to feel rather heartbroken watching it happen time and again.

He’s our first, so he doesn’t have any siblings, and we don’t have any family nearby. I’m a stay at home mum, so he isn’t at nursery either.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Is this simply a perfectly normal phase at this age, or are there things we could be doing to help him build friendships and confidence with other children?

Problems

I’ve been with my husband for a long time, and lately I’ve been questioning whether what I’m feeling is normal or a sign that something is missing. He’s a wonderful provider and an amazing dad, and we do have genuinely happy moments together. But I often don’t feel emotionally safe, valued, or respected during conflict. I’m usually the one trying to talk things through, while he gets defensive or shifts the blame, and it leaves me feeling unheard. I love our family, which is why this is so confusing. Has anyone else been in a relationship where the good moments are really good, but the hard moments make you question everything? How did you know whether it was something you could work through or something that wasn’t enough anymore?

Am I being selfish by putting my baby to sleep by 8pm and having a strict routine?

My baby goes to sleep between 8 - 8.3 depending on his last nap and I am strict by it as he is goes over its difficult to put him to sleep. It's the same thing with stimulation near his bedtime. It's taken me over an hour to put him to sleep because he fell asleep in the car my husband woke him up and when we walked into the house my in-laws straight away grabbed him and stimulated him. I
Told my husband specifically I need to put him to sleep so take him straight to the room.

I put him down at this time, as 1 he's tired but also after he goes to sleep I get
To shower, make food, eat and have some me time. Whereas for everybody else they want to spend that time with him but I'm the one that has to suffer after.

Am I selfish for wanting some me time in the evening and putting him to sleep and essentially taking away that time with my in-laws? (They work and often back late evening)

Nap time chaos🤯

My baby has just turned 3 months old and in the last couple of days he goes from 0 to 100 when he’s tired and wanting to nap. Once he’s asleep, he sleeps amazingly, but he will just scream and cry before it, most of the time not wanting to be rocked or held either. I think it’s developmental as he’s becoming more aware of the feeling of falling asleep? Anyone else in the same boat?!?
