Toddlers & Messes

My 2 year old twins are into EVERYTHING!!!!! Constantly throwing toys, getting ahold of markers/pens, spitting out food & drink& I’m at my wits end!!!!! Not to mention that they have this bad habit of stripping naked & peeing everywhere! Trying to work on potty training but if y’all know how to clean carpets without one of those Rug Doctor machines, I’m all ears.

Sincerely, an overwhelmed & out touched momma

I’m so sorry, bless you!!! I’m over here dying bc my almost 2 year old is unhinged. Over here eating nothing unless it isn’t food, climbing on everything and taking toys from his 6 month old sister. But I’ve only got one toddler. Idk how you twin moms survive!

Malnutrition

My son’s pediatrician told me at his 12 month appt that he was 5 lbs under weight and needs more iron. She said it’s because I’m still breastfeeding. My son will only drink water and breastmilk (from the boob). I finally got him to drink some milk but only if it’s 50/50 with water and in a certain cup. He’s a great eater and now on iron supplements. Idk what to do, I’m trying to give him extra protein, vitamin C (iron absorption)and whole fat yogurt, etc. We have a nutritionist and made an appt with a different pediatrician. I feel like I’m not doing enough for him and I’m a bad mom. Any words of encouragement?

This is going to be a hard post to write

So my partner who I’ve been with for over ten yrs is just slowly grinding on me with his view on life. It’s actually embarrassing. He’s flat out racist and right wing. Today was the nail on the head when he said “I
Don’t want our kid mixing with that culture in nursery incase he touches their saliva”
Like what the heck do you say to that?
It’s a genuine problem for me now dealing with his moods because he’s so against other ethnicities and doesn’t want our child mixing with them. I’ve had a long talk with him about how this is madness and even gone as far as to tell his mum. The issue is that he’s so sweet and a great dad and I love him to bits but this is just an ugly side to him that I’m scared is gonna rub off on our child. What am I meant to do?

I'm depressed that my 3yo son always wants TV right at daycare pickup what do I do

I generally wait a bit and I have a snack ready for him and it drives me nuts that all he wants is TV when he's in the car after daycare pick up so it's really bugging me and I feel like I failed

If your 1 year old does not eat the dinner you prepared..

Would you fill up their stomach with something else they like? Pouches, snacks, cereals, yogurts? Or just give milk?

Nobody to look after our toddler when I give birth

Unbelievably, I'm 38 weeks pregnant and we still don't have a proper plan in place for when I give birth for who will look after our 3 year old. We are planning a home birth and just hoping that it'll happen during the night. We have hired a doula who can help us out by either staying with me while my husband settles my toddler/drives him to nursery etc or goes and plays with him herself. But both my husband and I agree we aren't comfortable with leaving him with the doula if we need to transfer into hospital as she is essentially a stranger to him (we've only met her once). We know a couple of local families who may be able to look after our son for a couple hours at most. Again, we aren't particularly close with anyone so we wouldn't feel comfortable leaving him overnight with anyone. No family around, except my brother who is a 2 hour drive from us and told us he's too busy to help....wtf do we do...so stressed...has anyone here ever brought their toddler to hosptial? Or left their husband/partner at home to look after toddler? I'm devastated at the thought of my husband missing the birth but I think it would be the least stressful option?

Weaning help!

My 9 month old seem to not like eating any meat, we have to kind of force her to try it and this is a daily struggle, is it just a case of persevering until she likes the flavour and texture or should I avoid any come back to it in a month or so?

Any help and advice welcome!
