Is there ever a morally grey area regaurding cheating?

Ive thought about cheating...my husband is honestly kind of verbally abusive, I want to leave but it's just not plausible at the moment. It's something I'm working towards but it's just not gonna happen soon. Me and my kids are safe he's just an a hole sometimes. And it's not all the time, most of the time things are fine. Ive noticed over the last like 6m that he's not as interested in sex. He'll still want it but not as much. Ive gone through his phone he not physically cheating but he's got porn chats on discord, and the app 'likee" thats basically short form soft porn..and when he does want sex he really only cares about his own orgasm. All this to say, I'm almost completely not attracted to him anymore. Ive been day dreaming about messaging an old friend. Or even a stranger. I just want to feel beautiful and wanted.. Obviously cheating is wrong... But do you think there's ever a morally grey area? I'm not gonna do it... But it did have me wondering...

Every relationship defines cheating in their own way. Of course there some pretty universal hard lines, but I think sexual fantasies are totally normal.

It hurts me to hear he doesn’t prioritize your sexual pleasure alongside his. Of course you’re not attracted to him! He’s not trying to be attractive.

Regardless, you won’t fix it without talking to him. Have an honest conversation with yourself first. What are you willing to tolerate and what needs do you need him to meet? Know what you’re asking for before you confront him. (I don’t want you to like pictures those types of accounts, but you can still subscribe as long as you do it when I’m not around. I want you to perform foreplay like watching a sexy movie in bed. I want flowers on Friday. I want a kiss hello every day.)

Trust me: we can’t trust them to find garlic powder. Of course we need to explain what we want and how to love us properly. I blame Hollywood with this notion of “it’s romantic to guess”. It’s not. Just talk.

This dude sucks fr. Im sorry that youre tied to him. Cheating is not the answer bc he may lash out at you and become violent if he finds out. You should focus your energy into finding an out, secret apartment, friends to live with, etc and worry about finding someone to appreciate you later on, a rash decision will almost always end poorly.

I don’t think the desire to feel loved, wanted, and appreciated makes you a bad person. When someone feels neglected, disrespected, or emotionally alone for a long time, it’s human to crave that connection somewhere else.

That being said, I don’t think cheating would actually give you what you’re looking for. It might give a temporary feeling of being desired, but it could also add more hurt, stress, and complications to an already difficult situation.

What stood out to me more is the verbal abuse and the fact that you’re feeling like you’re losing yourself in this marriage. Even if he isn’t abusive all the time, you still deserve to feel safe, respected, and valued. I’m glad you’re thinking about your future and working toward what you need.

Maybe instead of asking “is cheating morally grey?” the bigger question is “what do I need to feel whole again while I figure out my next steps?” You deserve support, kindness, and to feel like a person—not just a wife or mom.

Yes. Your relationship is already over; You guys just haven’t officially said it yet. If you’re communicating long term about the same things and there’s no change, it’s natural to crave a different path. But better to leave and be by yourself for a while.

Malnutrition

My son’s pediatrician told me at his 12 month appt that he was 5 lbs under weight and needs more iron. She said it’s because I’m still breastfeeding. My son will only drink water and breastmilk (from the boob). I finally got him to drink some milk but only if it’s 50/50 with water and in a certain cup. He’s a great eater and now on iron supplements. Idk what to do, I’m trying to give him extra protein, vitamin C (iron absorption)and whole fat yogurt, etc. We have a nutritionist and made an appt with a different pediatrician. I feel like I’m not doing enough for him and I’m a bad mom. Any words of encouragement?

This is going to be a hard post to write

So my partner who I’ve been with for over ten yrs is just slowly grinding on me with his view on life. It’s actually embarrassing. He’s flat out racist and right wing. Today was the nail on the head when he said “I
Don’t want our kid mixing with that culture in nursery incase he touches their saliva”
Like what the heck do you say to that?
It’s a genuine problem for me now dealing with his moods because he’s so against other ethnicities and doesn’t want our child mixing with them. I’ve had a long talk with him about how this is madness and even gone as far as to tell his mum. The issue is that he’s so sweet and a great dad and I love him to bits but this is just an ugly side to him that I’m scared is gonna rub off on our child. What am I meant to do?

I generally wait a bit and I have a snack ready for him and it drives me nuts that all he wants is TV when he's in the car after daycare pick up so it's really bugging me and I feel like I failed

If your 1 year old does not eat the dinner you prepared..

Would you fill up their stomach with something else they like? Pouches, snacks, cereals, yogurts? Or just give milk?

Nobody to look after our toddler when I give birth

Unbelievably, I'm 38 weeks pregnant and we still don't have a proper plan in place for when I give birth for who will look after our 3 year old. We are planning a home birth and just hoping that it'll happen during the night. We have hired a doula who can help us out by either staying with me while my husband settles my toddler/drives him to nursery etc or goes and plays with him herself. But both my husband and I agree we aren't comfortable with leaving him with the doula if we need to transfer into hospital as she is essentially a stranger to him (we've only met her once). We know a couple of local families who may be able to look after our son for a couple hours at most. Again, we aren't particularly close with anyone so we wouldn't feel comfortable leaving him overnight with anyone. No family around, except my brother who is a 2 hour drive from us and told us he's too busy to help....wtf do we do...so stressed...has anyone here ever brought their toddler to hosptial? Or left their husband/partner at home to look after toddler? I'm devastated at the thought of my husband missing the birth but I think it would be the least stressful option?

Weaning help!

My 9 month old seem to not like eating any meat, we have to kind of force her to try it and this is a daily struggle, is it just a case of persevering until she likes the flavour and texture or should I avoid any come back to it in a month or so?

Any help and advice welcome!
