Baby daddy and his wife

Hey! I dont usually post on air out dirty laundry but I could use some new perspectives and advice on my son's situation! He is almost 7 years old and has had a stepmom since he was about 2. She moved in very quickly after the dad and I separated, they got married, and she was the sole breadwinner. Went to every appointment, every transition day, tried to make medical decisions, etc. Then she got pregnant and had a baby who is now 6 months old. Since she began trying to have a baby, her and my son began having relationship issues. Now that she has a baby, it is worse between them. He told me that he had a night terror about his stepmom shooting him and that when he told her about it, she responded to him by telling him to not talk about violence around her or her baby. His dad has also become distant and misses important events due to his wife's input it mostly appears.
Im concerned for my son and unfortunately concerned for my ex even though he was not good to me, I worry about him for the sake of my son who loves him. What on earth do I make of this situation and weird vibes???
Also note he has had a stepdad for the last 2 years now and I also have another baby with said stepdad, our daughter is 2 months old. He doesnt appear to have the same issues with my husband, they dont always get along, but their relationship seems strong and independent of me nurturing it.
Thank you for reading!!!!!

Could she be going through post partum depression maybe she’s just being over protective since that’s her first baby ? If baby is 6mos and them showing up has slowed down maybe they are still getting in the routine of having a 6mo and a 7y/o? I’m not making excuses for her just another point of view.. maybe your son can be getting a little jealous because of their being a new baby and the attention shifting in dads home as well as your home … not really sure how to give advice on this because I have not lived it. Never doubt yourself maybe voice to your baby father about what is going on and how your son feels. My only advice is just to keep giving your son reassure that you are there for him and just teach him about post partum because it really could just be that. Maybe my message didn’t help but I hope the best for your family and congratulations on your baby

Weight loss

Anyone have any tips on how to not loose a ton of weight breastfeeding. I’m trying my hardest but not having cravings anymore. Makes it hard to eat. I’ve gone from 1:30 to 1:05 and I hate it so much. I don’t know what to do but I’m not gonna stop breast-feeding just so I can keep weight.

Lopsided!

My LG only feeds from my right boob - I’ve been told by the Breastfeeding Network that this is perfectly normal which is fine. I try to pump from the left occasionally but I don’t always get round to it… now I’ve noticed that my right boob is bigger than my left (which makes sense) but does this mean I’m permanently lopsided?! Will pumping more even then out? Will it be even out when I start weaning?

Breastfeeding for Dummies (Me)

Hello, I'm a FTM and non of my friends have breastfed, I've always said I didn't want to but my partner insists on it as his first with an ex was breastfed, I said I'd give it a try.

I'm due next month and I have no idea where to start tbf, I've seen all different types of pumps and when I've watched videos women let the baby feed off one breast and pump from the other. The pumped milk they put the milk into a flask when I've spoken to my partner he said that doesn't need to happen as I'll just switch between both.

Any advice is so appreciated, TIA.

Pumping?

Has anyone tried pumping again months and months after that initially had stopped? I’m 8m pp and I’m still making drops if I squeeze my nips. Opinions and thoughts on this matter? Nothing negative.

would you be upset??

my baby is 8mo, and he's not a great sleeper yet, so I try to be consistent with his night routine. I give him a bath at 6.30 and he's down at 7pm every day. But my family always makes plans for dinner, and are very upset when I prioritize my baby's sleep. When he gets overtired it is A NIGHTMARE. So I leave at 6pm sharp at the most, but they always complain. (by family I mean my mom, my sister and my grandma). I'm tired of explaining that he needs to sleep.
