Am I an awful mum???

So the worst has happened this morning. My partner woke up with the baby and let me sleep in as I’m so exhausted. At about 9am he came in and put our daughter in bed with me so he could go to the toilet. He laid her next me and told me she was there. Apparently I replied saying that’s fine and looked at him and my daughter but I don’t remember this I was that exhausted and half asleep. Next thing I know my daughter is crying on the floor.. she’s fallen off the bed. I’ve been crying ever since I feel like the worst mum ever😭.
We think she rolled onto her belly then slipped off the side and banged her head on the side of the bed on the way down as she had a red mark on her forehead. Our bed isn’t very high but I feel awful. I asked my partner why he didn’t put her in her down bed, but he said he didn’t want her to cry. But I 100% get that I should have woken up and watched her😭.

She seems fine in herself. She stopped crying as soon as I picked her up to comfort her and has been fine ever since, I think my crying scared her a bit tho as she’s never seen me so hysterical. I asked if we should take her to the hospital to get her checked over but my partner thinks it isn’t necessary but I’m so worried now…

Am i over reacting

Really need help on how to deal with an on-going situation.. me and my partner parent differently he has a more angry approach i guess.. for a while now Ive noticed him grabbing our toddler by the arm if he’s being dangerous or to move him etc.. when i tell him i don’t like that or tell him not to do that he tries to gas light me and say he didn’t.. at times I’ve thought maybe i’m over reacting because of my own violent childhood and maybe im feeling triggered but then i sit and think well i can parent without being hands on so? Also our toddler has started jumping on me and using me as a climbing frame, very normal at this age ofc but I’m pregnant so its a worry, he wasn’t listening and kept doing it again and again and i tried gentle parenting and distraction and all sorts and nothing worked eventually my partner lost his shit and put him in his own bed and shouted at him pointing his finger in his face, our toddler then stopped, didn’t cry or anything. He doesn’t seem hurt when the arm is being grabbed but I still don’t want to parent that way, i don’t really know how to approach the subject with my partner anymore because its causing tension, any ideas or advice please? Also am i being a snowflake about all of this or is what im feeling valid?

Do you think children being picky eaters are in general a result of their parents ? Like not being given a variety of tastes and textures from a young age . Or exposed to sugary and snack foods marketed at babies which replace real food

( I know there is exceptions of course such as kids on the spectrum and arfid ) . I have heard this topic before and I’m curious on others opinions !

Do you think saying this is ok?

My friend has a daughter who’s now 20 months old. 6 months ago, she met a guy & they’re now living together.
My friend works Monday to Friday so her daughter is in childcare 9-5:30 for them days.
Her partner has said to her that he thinks on the weekend family should look after her baby so that him and her can 1 have alone time and 2 get some rest.
He also is saying her daughter needs to be in bed and asleep by 7.30 so they can get there evenings together after work.
I feel like my friend never has her and I feel terrible on her daughter!??

I refuse to let my child be a gamer

I know video games arent inherently bad but I don’t like it as a hobby. I don’t like the idea of my kid being addicted to a video game and spending time staring at a screen. I know everything in moderation but I know way too many adults who are addicted and spend hours playing. I’d much rather have my kid do sports, music, or arts.

Recently moved into a new apartment and a African man who lives in the building took a interest in myself and my daughter. He gave a compliment like I dont know which one is more beautiful you or the daughter. I say thanks but then he sees us another day and he throws another compliment. Now im uncomfortable. Another day he stops in his tracks to stare at the both of us briefly. One day my daughter forgot something in the car and went downstairs to grab it. He approaches the car and asks her how old she was. She tells him please step back im not comfortable. He said " fine im going inside anyway". My daughter tells me what happened and I immediately flew into a rage. I knew exactly who she was talking about and went and knocked on his door. I told him if he has any questions he needs to ask me directly not when my daughter is alone. He acted like he never saw us before and defended his behavior by saying he has a son. Pissed me off. Am I over reacting?

Honest opinions- how do we feel about teaching our boys to pee sitting down at home & standing in public?

First time boy mom soooo a little in the fence about this
