Wake window issue

My 7 week old has been awake for 3 hours now, she shows no signs of being tired. Does anyone else have these issues especially in the evening? How have you handled it?

My 7 week old is having longer wake periods also. I do a bit of jungle gym, vision cards and stuff at some point during that time. He likes to sit in his wee rocking chair too which is handy when I need to do things around the house as he likes just sitting and watching/looking around the room. Seems to set him up well for a good sleep 😊

I'm so glad you've said that as I'm getting more and more nervous for the night the longer she is awake! 😅 What's the longest he has been awake recently? Are you capping it at a certain point or letting him fall asleep naturally?

Our baby is 6 weeks and we have been struggling with naps since week 4. We combi feed but only at night so my husband can feed her too. We gave her a bottle today because she sleeps better at night after a bottle (usually breastmilk sometimes formula) and that did work after some walking around with her too. And she’s been napping well this afternoon since… not sure if you combi feed but could try a bottle in the day if so. Otherwise, no idea as we are having the same problem 😣😣

Contact naps

Am I making it more difficult for myself long term by allowing contact naps during the day? She doesn’t like her naps in the pram and doesn’t stay down very long when I do put her down in the day… -she doesn’t like lying flat due to reflux… 9/10x she’s ok in her cot at night. 15 week old.

Nap schedule help please 🙏

My baby is 6.5 months old. I have followed huckleberry loosely as I find the articles useful to read for each month. Especially the recommended wake window times for each age. I still have always gone off his sleep cues whilst having those recommendations in mind. I have never paid for the sweet spot as I have followed my instincts. He used to only nap on me when he was younger and then I started putting him in his crib for naps and he used to only managed 45 minutes. Now he is sleeping longer and Huckleberry recommends 1 hour 15 in morning then 1 hour 30 and then a 30 minute nap to get through to bedtime. I am waking him up from the naps and sometimes finding the 30 minute nap hard to get him down and not beneficial as then it gives him later bed time. But sometimes it does help stop him be over tired. Is anyone else baby this age on two long naps at this point? It recommends he sleeps about 3.5 hours in day time. Just to add I have also started making sure he is awake 7am because it was affecting the rest of the days sleep etc.

Unsettled baby

Anyone else in the same boat? I’m really struggling with how ‘unsettled’ baby is. She cries a lot, even when we have tried everything. She’s a bit of a fomo baby so fights naps too 🙄

I feel really uncomfortable going out anywhere because 90% of the time she cries and I can’t do anything to settle her.
I feel self conscious when in public and it’s making feel isolated, I don’t want to go to baby groups because I feel that she will cry the whole time.

Only contact naps during the day

I have a 12 week old and the only way she will nap during the day is by contact napping. I am then trapped as I can’t put her down as she will wake up immediately. I have tried the carrier which does work too, but I feel bad for having her in it too much as it’s quite limiting on what she can see and makes us both hot with the weather being so warm.

Any tips for getting baby to nap in their crib/bassinet?

Baby sleeping long stretches

I need some advice from mums on this.
My baby eats at around 9-10pm at night then goes to bed. I dream feed her around 12-1 she then sleeps through until 6-7am.
She is 6 weeks old but has been doing this for a good 10-14 days now.
When I google this or watch TikTok they tell me I should be waking my baby to feed her in the night.
Is this true.
She seems happy and is gaining weight.
Please let me know what you think !

Desperate- toddler coming in our bedroom and waking up baby

I’m absolutely exhausted as I write this and just need advice desperately! I have a 5 month old who sleeps in her crib in me and my husbands bedroom and in the last week or so my 3 year old has been coming into our room in the middle of the night, sometimes it’s 3am and other times 5am and she wakes up the baby. She doesn’t even get into our bed and fall asleep straight away as if she did that I wouldn’t mind. She’s wide awake and starts talking to me as I’m trying to feed the baby back to sleep. My husband obviously just carries on sleeping. What do I do?! Obviously I’ve tried explaining to her as best as I can if she can stay in her room until mummy or daddy get her in the morning and I’ve even bribed her saying she’ll get a treat if she listens but she keeps doing it. I’m so exhausted as when my baby falls asleep I’m then trying to get my toddler to sleep and when my toddler did eventually get to sleep around 6am my baby woke up. It’s driving me mad!
