Sleeping

My baby girl who is 7 weeks prefers to sleep with her head tilted to the right side. anytime I move it to the left she gets uncomfy and wants back to the right, my doctor said this is normal and it’s possible she was like this in the womb as she was breech? Just wondering if anyone has any tips or has dealt with this before?

Lots of people go to an osteopath for this as it's tension caused in the neck from the position in the womb. My baby wasn't breech but I had a quick delivery so there's tension and she also prefers to look one way. X

We have the same issue, i am trying to move black&white book to her not favorite part, especially on tummy time.

My boy had a side preference, we saw an osteopath and it really helped for multiple things, would highly recommend

My girls the same, has a massive preference for her right side, my heath visitor referred her to physio and he checked her out to make sure there was no tension. Luckily for us there isn’t, but if there if they’ll give you stretches to do with her. Make sure she’s getting her tummy time and use something she’ll follow to encourage her to look the other way!

We have this too but preference is left. We do lots of practice on the right, so getting her attention that way and have also taken her to osteopath who showed us some of the exercises we can do

When does the sleep get better

My LO is 7 weeks tomorrow and his sleep has not been great lately. Firstly it takes me absolutely ages and at least 2 failed transfers to get him to sleep at night. He needs to sleep with boob which I always give. We are currently co sleeping but even that’s not helping. The moment I leave the bed he wakes up. Also he is SO fidgety during his sleep, always moving around. I understand sometimes after a feed he might want to burp but when I try to burp him sometimes nothing comes out! Is this a phase? Will it get better after 8 weeks.
Please send help, advice, anything!

Oversupply?

I’m 2 weeks postpartum and I have 35 bags of 7ozs breast milk frozen plus around 15ozs in the fridge and baby is still on the boob with bottles would this be classed as an oversupply?

How do I manage this with clogged ducts? I luckily haven’t had any yet and I only pump 3-4 times a day depending on my comfort level I just don’t want to overdo my body

Day/night confusion and feeding schedule at 3 weeks old

My little girl is 3 weeks old and already one 6 feeds per 24 hours (bottle fed) (drinking c700ml per 24 hours) with good nappy output and she’s very content generally. I have observed though that in the last week or so she’s been very hard to wake up during the day and wakes up on her own during the night every 3 hour or so, when she used to do longer stretches before. Both the midwife and the responsive feeding team have said that because she’s putting on weight nicely + content + good nappy output, we don’t need to wake her up during the night anymore and just take her lead. It does seem like she’s confusing day and night and I would like to readjust that so that her longer sleep stretches are back to being at night.

Any idea on how frequently we should feed her during the day to help promote longer sleep stretches during the night?

She’s on day 6 of her first set (of probably 7 or 8) of casts to treat her Talipes feet, not sure if the weight of the casts/inability to move her legs wake her up at night… We keep her legs elevated to help avoid toe swelling.
