I can’t be the only one who feels this way - I keep getting pressured by grandparents for my 6 1/2 month old to stay the night with them. She’s still an infant? Theres no reason she needs to stay the night away from us? But they keep making me feel so guilty we say no

I feel like my in laws will do this too. You’re not wrong for not wanting your baby to stay somewhere else!

My parents did the same thing and I did not budge and let them have their first sleepover until she was 18 months. I don’t know if I’m too harsh but I strait up told them I don’t owe them an explanation on any choices I make with my child. Eventually they just asked when I was comfortable with it.

She is too little to be away from you and also there is no need for her to have a sleepover. That’s when I child asks to stay, not because they want it to happen

I have the same issue on my partners side there last baby in the family was over 20 years ago however my family have babies like it’s running out of fashion my baby is going to have two cousins before her first birthday I can trust my family to get her to sleep and look after her but his mum wants to babysit or have her but she can’t even settle her when I’m in the same house with her !

Haha just keep telling them nope! It is nice if they want you to know they are there if you need a break but it shouldn't be more than that. My parents haven't had our 2 year old yet but will do when everyone is ready!

Only person I will let my daughter sleep with is my mother

Can they sleepover ?

My rule is no sleep overs with grandparents until they can tell me about what they did. When we have our next baby I’ll ask my mother in law to come here to be with my toddler
