4 Month Regression

Entering the throes of the 4 month regression, my amazing 7 hour sleeper through the night has begun waking up every 2 hours. Does anyone have any tips or tricks thats helping them navigate through this sleepless time? ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜‚

Instead of picking my little dude up immediately, I keep my hand on him and shush him for a while, basically however long it takes for him to settle down a bit. Then I remove my hand and give him a few minutes. If he doesnโ€™t fall asleep, I repeat the process, waiting a little longer each time. Itโ€™s kind of like sleep training, but not technically. Iโ€™m really just trying to teach him how to settle himself without always being picked up.

The caveat is that I only do this when heโ€™s rolling around, grunting, or fussing a little. If heโ€™s actually crying, I pick him up. And if he needs a feed or a diaper change, obviously I take care of that. Otherwise, I just help him settle and lay him back down.

I also try to put him down sleepy but awake for naps and bedtime so he can practice falling asleep on his own. I think thatโ€™s made a big difference with his nighttime wake ups!

Losing my actual mind

Right, so my 3 week old will not stop crying unless sheโ€™s breastfeeding. But, if I feed her constantly, then she screeches because sheโ€™s taking far too much, which results in trapped wind.
How in the hell do I get her to stop crying, so I can actually take two minutes for myself. Iโ€™m hardly eating, showering happens past midnight when sheโ€™s finally settled and forget about something as simple as brushing my hair.
Seriously, is this normal behaviour? Because everyone is suggesting I just let her cry out, but that isnโ€™t happening, because I refuse to let her cry to the point where she coughs, and she wonโ€™t stop anyway.

12 week old never slept through the night

Hi all, my baby is 12 weeks old and has always slept in the next to me crib fine. He can settle himself to sleep initially but he wakes up around 3-4 times a night for a feed. Everyone I speak to seems to have had a full nights sleep but I havenโ€™t had one since heโ€™s been born (or since about 25 weeks pregnant) He only wakes up and feeds for 10 minutes and goes straight to back to sleep but it would be nice for a full night or at least something longer than 4 hours.. Please tell me Iโ€™m not alone ๐Ÿคฃ

Wee!

Morning,
This is the third day in a row my 6 month old has peed through his nappy, vest and sleeping bag ๐Ÿ˜ซ
After the first time we sized him up from 3 to 4s, after the second night we moved to Pampers - and after tonight I donโ€™t know what to do!
We change him once through the night anyway but donโ€™t want to wake him (or ourselves) up anymore than we have to!
Heโ€™s a side sleeper could it be that??
What else is there to do to stop it from happening? ๐Ÿ˜‚
